I'm always wondering how much risk these girls put themselves up against when working. They carry a lot of cash obviously and some may be here illegally and won't go to the cops. So what's the recourse if someone ended up robbing them or just not paying? About 4 years ago a 141 girl in CWB (Lee Garden Rd) was killed when a client tried to rob her,
the building was under renovationand there were scaffolding all around, the idiot
was too scared to walk out of the building so he tried to climb the scaffolding, the police
caught him hiding in the scaffolding ! I don't remember the details and why the police got
there so fast but I do remember there were about 4 girls working there on the same floor
and they closed shop immediately, one of the more famous girl there is now in Fuji,
the building haven't been used as a 141 since - bad omen I guess.

Other then that, I haven't heard of any major incidents, only theft of money
or cell phones lying around.

Most 141 girls working in the fringe areas have bosses but less so for the major areas like TST and CWB.

As a visitor to that great place I found HK and the 141 walk up scene extremely safe, I would be more scared about walking the streets of LA (and I have been there). Relax, surf the forum and decide what your action is going to be
1) 141 walk ups, 2) Hotel bookings or perhaps a Macau Sauna visit which will be UNFORGETABLE.

I don't speak a word of Chinese, I am caucasian and I did not feel threatened at all. As Greatone said, may be there is another layer in the structure but you won't need to deal with it. Have fun and report !

Mandingo, I couldn't agree more. :-D I feel totally safe in HK, but was just curious what kind of infrastructure they use to keep customers in line. I've actually never even felt unsafe with my cell phone or money lying around *knock on wood*. I typically try to net stumble even in the stairwells of the 141 buildings with a pretty expensive PDA phone because I can never get the WG I set out to get yet too lazy to download their pictures or jot down any notes.

On the other hand, when venturing into Tijuana, I bring my disposable cell phone, limited cash (hidden inside my belt) and nothing else.

I gotta give this Macau thing a try. Last time I was there, I was 10.

Macau is a must, it is the Superbowl in my view. It is only an hour away by ferry, read the Macau FAQ in the Macau section of the forum for directions, locations etc. It is an excellent guide and you won't get lost.

I am planning to spend 2 out of 7 days in Macau this time. As Puffdaddy told me ' once bitten forever smitten ' !!!

The girls may or may not have some sort of security on their side, but I have heard many times about girls who have had their cell phones or whatnot stolen by customers, so some are very careful about hiding their stuff.

As a customer, you should always be careful of your belongings though. I bought replacement heads for my electric toothbrush, which probably were of NO use to her whatsoever but cost like 200 bucks and she told me I never brought a bag in with me when I came back for them.

Some personal tips:
- If you bring a bag, keep them on top of your shoes so you don't forget to bring it with you on the way out.
- Don't wear jewelry.
- If you take off jewelry, don't leave it on the nightstand! Put it in your shoes.
- If you have a wallet in your jacket/pant pockets, fold it up so the pocket is on the inside where it cannot be accessed easily.
