Hey bro's, having flown HK for Guangzhou I have still been able to access the 141 website which I was surprised as I thought [obviously wrongly] that I would not be able to do, however, I can access all of the website EXCEPT the Gal' DB and the Updates.  Is this lack of censorship or selective censorship something new or have I just been unaware until today?  I have other destinations on the mainland that I will be going to in the next week or so [along with a visit back to HK to do as much damage as I can] so can I expect semi censorship around the rest of the mainland?   Recent Ratings yazoo   10-2-2012 12:22   Acceptance   +1   The board self-censors the gal db to protect them Sometimes you win, other times you have to work

#2 Post at 10-2-2012 12:43  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #1 wackojacko's post Admin had on purpose made sure that the DB pages are NOT available from China - I don't know how he does it but even going via VPN/proxy lines, its a lot of times still NOT possible to go to the DB pages from china (thus my reason for ALWAYS asking reporter to also put up DB pixs for us who's in china). In the past - say a couple years ago, The Great China Firewall had also blocked sites such as our forum too - but since then, I've NOT had any problems accessing this site directly/not using VPN/Proxy. #3 Post at 10-2-2012 19:37  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L You will need to use VPN/Proxy to access the DB's page in the mainland. Without that you will not be able to load the DB pages. I have no problem accessing the DB pages using a VPN I have set up on my laptop.

So far I have no problem accessing the sites you mentioned with the VPN I am currently using. But some VPN provider sites are also blocked, so if you are thinking of subscribing VPN, better do it before going to the mainland. Tuff
