The question is, 'What really constitutes a dirty old man (DOM) ?'

Perhaps some prefatory remarks first.  The definition of old and dirty are both subjective and probably largely driven by cultural norms.  

Is a hobbyist past some certain age considered too old to continue seeking after the ultimate in intimate encounters ?  We know from science, history and literature than males can continue to procreate even past the age of 90.  If the hormones are still working, and the wallet will support it, why not an older man in the P4P buying business.

Regarding dirty, this is really a cultural issue.  On this side of the pond, the north American side of the Pacific, the definition of dirty is going to be understood based on who is answering the question.  A female with ultra-conservative views will probably consider anyone of any age looking for P4P to be dirty.  On the other hand a younger dancer making serious money at one of the strip clubs wouldn't care less about a male's pursuits as long as his money is available.

So what is a DOM ?  Do the HK's ladies have their own ideas ?  Is a man a 'colored wolf' after some age ?  For that matter, is DOM always a pejorative ?  Is a HK WG going to look down on some rich retired male just because he wants to invest a few dollars in the finer things a lady can offer ?

Aaaah. I remember when I arrived in Hk and would see those 70 yo guys with 25 yo hot chicks. First I thought "what a dirty old man".... But when you sit and think bout it,there is nothing dirty there, its a win/win situation. The guy gets to stay with a really pretty girl and have some quality time with her and she gest to be treated like a princess. Nothing dirty or scandalous, just two grown persons having an agreement! Now when I see them, I want to give them the thumbs up (but could be poorly interpreted with my SO around!).

For the wg, it comes to my previous comment if you ask me, they dont have any preconcieved ideas other than money. There is no such thing as a dirty old man for hk wg I think, just another source of revenues ( and liquidity.... )

Dirty and old are both relative terms that vary from person to person. It also changes as you mature. For example when i was 8 i thought 15 was "old"  now that i am in my 20s, I cant imagine thinking someone who is 15 as old. I am sure as i age my definition of "old" will change.

I think it comes down to chemistry.  If she wants him to make a pass at her he's a hunk, and if not he's a creep.  

Similarly if she wants the man to pay attention to her, he's a gentleman, wise, experienced, mature, strong, powerful, attractive ... but if he goes too fast he's a dirty old man.

Yes, but I think that your definition of 'young' will stay about the same.  I think that a cute young spinner will always be 18-25.

DOM is a term that shows jealousy more than disgust.  I'm pretty dirty right now, insofar as I have a strong sex drive and am fairly open-minded.  I don't see myself as losing that sex drive as I get older.

Now if I have the opportunity/means/guts to satisfy my desires when I am older I will.  If I don't, I'll probably look jealously at all those that do, and call them dirty old men.

Having said that, I was sitting at the Thai restaurant at Beijing airport watching this seventy something sucking face with a twenty something in a booth right out in the open.  I watched with a mixture of awe, disgust and envy!

Maybe some of the older members can fill us in, but I imagine that as I get towards the end of my time on earth, I will want to experience all that I can, as much as I can, and to hell with what other people think.

I intend to be one!  I think I am too young to properly qualify just yet... But give me time!

Ahhh, but the truth is my desired age-bracket is going up too ---- yes, I banged a 22 year-old last week, but this "feels" to young to me.  A thirty-something hottie turns me on more and feels better (or at least late-twenties).  I guess it seems more appropriate - I enjoy being around them outside of the bedroom more.  A little life-experience, a lot more confidence about "who" they are.., ya know?

Agree, I am also looking forward to become and DOM if energy / stamina permits. I also dont get turned on by 20yo girls any more, because like you it doesnt seem so right (to me eh! Its totally legal!) but also because I dont feel like teaching a 20yo how tohave sex, dont have the patience for that!

Once when I was leaving GFS in the morning, I saw this really old (in his 80's?) man in the locker room. He was slowly shuffling over to his locker with his cane and the two locker guys were assisting him as he entered. From the way the locker guys were treating him, he must have been a regular.

A little real life story.

Some years ago we, a small group of photographers, visited a Himba vilage in Namibia.
The village eldest, an old women, welcomed us. One of us asked her, using the interpreter
who was with us "How old are You?".

The answer was a question "What is age?"  It really stoped me thinking!

As to these people the meaning of time is so diffrent.

I see age more as a mental thing, if one feels being young, then he/she can be young.
If so also old. It's not a question of physical condition.

So let's just all be young, curious and enjoy our lives in the world we live with all the joys we
have around us.

YUP - lets REALLY break down the expression DOM to its parts.

1. DIRTY - REALLY???  Anybody here is gonna state that sex in all its glory is or can in any way be construed as dirty?? That ANYONE in search of good sex is DIRTY?? Oh MY!!

2. OLD - what is old nowadays with me hearing all sorts of seniors still ennoying a full sex life; yeah, aided by some chemical enhancers, or by the natural youtfulness of more and more more senior members of our society coincident with better health care, health awareness etc. But OLD?? Yeah, some of us younger guys MAY think anybody 5, 10 or even 20 years older than ourselves as being OLD - but are they REALLY??

3. MAN -yes, men in all its variations, practices and natural tendency towards the fairer sex. We are ALL men (err at least most of us here - right?). Those amongt us younger are all testosterone driven and of fair physical attributes, those who are older are needed to give perspective and true meaning as to the joy of SEX!!

All men are dirty and after about 40 they can be considered old.  

So why shouldn't guys over 40 keep bangin young girls? No reason to stop really. As long as the girl is into it OK.  Normal reproducive urges are going to alway attract men to the younger girls.

Its when a young girl isn't into the age spread then the creepy factor sets in. An older guy being well groomed, clean, in snape will reduce the creepy factor.
