I thinking it maybe an alternative to a wan chai bar girl as my current SO now has a key to my place and is calling it home. ( I need my fill of Filipinos ) Has anyone any tips would be welcomed. Go, with confidence (but be nice) and quickly tell the Mamasan you KNOW Hong Kong and you know the score!  You are NOT buying the whole frickn bar drinks OR paying $4K for a gal!  Seems they settle right down and serve you like a normal person - not an idiot!  THEN buy her a drink!  Last time I went (This was Express Club across from Doghouse) I scored two stunning Filipinos for $2200.  So, anywhere under $1500 is okay.  Mind you - these two girls were nice, fun, and just exceptionally hot.  900-frickn-degress hot.  Wow!!   So, ya really got to "man-up" if you want to try a Curtain Bar and survive - they are AGRESSIVE beyond belief!  Go in drunk with defenses down and you'll stagger out with a HK$5000 within 2 hours! #3 Post at 19-10-2011 15:40  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Agree with Wanderer, show them you are not a newbie and you know the score, then you will not get ripped off.  Also, pay as you go or at least sign (and check) the bills as you go. I have been to many of these bars over the year, never had problems, always pay as i go and never but all the girls drinks.  You can usually get a good BBBJ or more in the bars which i really like, nothing like having a hot naked girls going down on you whilst you can watch the other girls on stage. Bar fines also vary and seem to be negotiable, depends on time of day/night.   More expensive than the neptune takeouts but there you don't get the naked girl gyrating on your lap or the BBBJ.  I don't go very often now, but once in a while I like the thrill of these places. Follow simple rules and keep an eye on the tab and you should have a great time

It bad enough in Neptune's you shorted loose you marbles when drunk and some times walk up in th morning and you have paid for a munter... that another story!!

We were bored so we went in for shits and giggles; mama said only $30 bucks for a beer! Its a steal, so we go in. As soon as we get our beer and sit on the stool, 7 girls come racing over to us, asking us for drinks. We say no, no, no, we don't have cash, blah blah blah and while we were finishing up our beer (we took our sweet ass time) the girls were trying to get us to buy them drinks ($220 per JD, LOL) while feeling us up, giving us DFK, GFE blah blah blah. Good fun for $30 bucks! They really were troopers!

#10 Post at 21-10-2011 08:07  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L I remember these curtain bars on one of my first visit to HK during my twenties, which is quite a while ago.  I somehow managed to go through and have a drink in each bar and got drunk.  What made this worst in those olden days was that I was  in company with one of the  WG's that worked in the bar and recall their time was charged by the minute. Having ran out of money, one of the bouncers  escorted me back to the now demolished Furama Hotel round the corner  to get more money.!   The only one bar name I can remember still in existence today is the Crazy Horse.

The most important thing is to take your time, stick to your budget, be polite and happy to all the ladies there.
