I have been wanting to share pictures with you guy, but everytiime that I try to upload them, it says file too big?!? This happens even when I only want to include one picture that is 1.7mb in size.. ...
You should download and install an image resizer software. You can find
some here assuming you're on Windows.
You can try this one
Mihov Image resizer, he's pretty easy to use (and of course, it's free).
1) Click on the link above and download the software. It'll be really fast as it's only 363kb.
2) Once it's downloaded, find it on your hard drive and install it. I'm sure you can do that, even at 56 yo !
3) Follow the steps (and don't forget to uncheck "install the babylon toolbar".
4) Once installed, the soft will open itself automatically.
5) Locate the pic you want to resize with the boxes on the left. If the pic is in the "special" Windows folder (ie the folder like My documents or My pictures), click on the file menu (top left) and select special folder -> My pictures (for example). Then, use the bow on the left to select the right folder and then the right pic.
6) On the right, you have a box with a lot of tabs. Assuming your pic is already in .jpg (that's the case for me when I take a picture with my camera) click on the "JPG" tab.
7) Defaults options are "better quality" and "pixels 800". You can try leave them that way. Click on "resize" (bottom right), and it's done.
8) You now have a second file called "mini-thenameofyourpreviousfile.jpg". This file should be a lot more smaller but still ok quality to post here.
I did that exactly with a 2101ko pic, and the "mini-pic" was 67ko.
Try this, even if it doesn't seems "user friendly" it's easy to use and very efficient.
