I've seen a few mentions of this recently. I can't imagine going out with my friends mongering.  Probably the social norms saying that prostitution is bad that I grew up with.  Do most people monger in groups or go solo?

its gotta be solo. to me going in a group would be  just a bit weird! i guess having a "mongering" buddy wouldnt be bad, but noway a mongering group of mates!

I monger solo. I have yet to hook up with 141 bros here, but may consider going in a group if visiting KTV.

I did my first FKK tour with paladin310. Helped a lot with negotiating the vagaries of the wily sharks, though he was sort of startled when I spoke German to the staff at FKK Oase ("You speak German?" "Yes, since high school." "I didn't know that!" "I didn't tell you.")

I'd think that for places that are more social, FKKs and saunas, or strip clubs, group activities are fine. It's when you're going back to the room that you want more privacy.

Not only do I go punting solo, I make sure I'm wearing a mask whenever I go punting!

I always go solo, it really would be awkard if I had to discuss with my friend who can take the girl for banging her ...

I think the best solution is to organise a gangbang.

Basically all meet up at a bar to shoot the shit, exchange stories and info.  Then we all head out to our respective spots solo or in small groups (max 3).  Several hours later we head back to said bar and exchange experiences, info and shoot more shit.

Works out alright and you can garner more details than you'd normally be able to get from forums, plus it's cool to meet decent people.

I've met a few good friends this way, but like any 'open-invite' gathering there's going to be some clashing of personalities.  That too can be interesting in it's own right.

I guess HK is a bit different than CP/Mainland, apart from my independent research, I always monger in groups.  Not safe to go to BBS unless you know the stable very well.  KTVs are not really a party unless you have a bunch of mates (double entendre) with ya.  

After a while you connect with other mongers who have similar interests, just try not to get one that likes the same exact girls as you... or else be okay with missing out on your type when he gets the girl because he can speak mando and is asian in appearance whereas you are the scary white guy... (no totally not bitter about this at all!) (jk Jett/Free)

it only a matter of time before they've become accustomed to foreign mongers and starts adopting the same attitude as asian restauranteurs of the sort
where they FAVOR western patrons over asian clients mistaken asian's for being cheap
they seem to think foreigners are more 'charitable' when it comes to money

but i find mongering in a group is real fun, after the deed we just exchange stories and experiences, real fun

the only shame is most of by friends are conservative (boring) lol, so hard to get more that a couple to punt together

but if u have the same tastes, it gets awkward

depends on the dynamics of the friend and where you are going.  ktv is the most obvious type of mongering which is most favored in groups. Some seem to like to go to macau establishment in groups.  There are pros and cons for sure.  don't overlook that your buddys are there to look out for you & livening up the whole experience for you.

I would hardly think that restaurateurs - or for that matter - ANY tradesmen - would consider Asians to be cheap.

...lol... certainly wasn't meant to be taken as a derogatory dig at asian bros out there, and yes, i am asian...

it has happened to me far too frequently, asked for 'char sui farn' at my local outlet towards the end of the evening (late dinner's...) and replies with 'mai sai'
then a foreigner follows asking for the same take out as i leave (i snigger) but to my disgust, 'no problem' dumbfounded and flabbergasted!!!

or no tables available with no reservation, but table available for a foreigner also with no reservation... gutted...

for whatever reasons reserved, i cannot work out why... perhaps its just a personal attack against my fat ugly self?!?

When I read your post, I thought you were referring to the tipping culture which changes the dynamics of the "ecosystems"

Look-it - I probably AM over-sensitive but I don't care if its satire or whatever you call it - I have never and will never NOT stand up against bigotry or attacks against any race/religion etc

And the worst part of this all is of course that you are here - an Asian - and you're putting your own race down.  I don't know what your circumstances/ appearance/personality/station in life etc is, but I would suggest that if you encounter such "prejudice" based solely upon your race, that you make a big stink about it.  

I know I would - but I have fortunately NOT encountered much of such problems in my lifetime.  If on the other hand such uneven treatment is a result of any other factors other than your race/your own PERSONAL identity - well - that's another story - but it does NOT behove it, that you put the reason down to your ethnicity.

Bigotry/racial prejudice is something that I do NOT treat/take lightly and I'd suggest that you would do a re-think if such is something you should be taking "The Piss" about.  Especially against your own race - that is truly a travesty IMHO.
