Yet another police raid in Wan Chai. Several HGs and a bunch of pimps
(including a laundrywoman!) arrested. It's never been one of my
favourite punting grounds, but the heat seems to be on in Wan Chai.
I wonder why?

Hope none of the bros or any of their favourite girls was affected.

I was in TST last night in a bar near Knutsford Terrace, it was around 12am when immigration piled in and started checking every one's HKID's.

I have seen this happen a few times in Wan Chai but my business friends who I was with have never seen it???

What struck me was how rude the officers were being, my friend asked what was going on and a lady officer came over and just screamed at him "SHUT UP!!"

She must of been pissed on the night shift!

Raids on bars usually are not to check for illegal aliens but to check if the bar/restaurant/club is serving underage, drugs are being sold, or to look for a triad baddie. Generally the police are more polite in LKF but can get pretty rude if they feel they are being 'disrespected' ie, (nobody keeping quite, nobody listening to commands to line up, known triad boys ignoring them, etc).

The police have a right to conduct these raids as often as possible because they are the ones who give the final say if a bar/restaurant/club can have an alcohol license or not.


To me the raids are no big deal but can take quite a long time because  bar patrons and police are jockeying for 'face' while the bar management is cringing at lost revenue. If only the patrons would really just shut up and keep quiet so the police can do a quick scan of the crowd, the sooner the lights can go back off and the music can come back on.

Just out of curiosity, what happens to you if you were with the HG when theppolice raid and arrest? Is it any different to the 141s? Technically are  these girls viewed differently from the 141 girls?  I mean are these interpreted as operating out of a one room brothel? If not what is the implication for a bro who is caught in the middle of such an act?

It's 1st of July thing......LE just showing they are hardworking, usual before any major National holidays.

This probably has something to do with the recent robbing of that guy in Wanchai.  Wasn't he robbed of something like 29,500 by a WG.

An HG in tst also told me the Police came yesterday to the E hotel. Apparently they got tipped off and she made a dash for the roof, haha. I guess it was fine since they didnt' catch her.

HGs and phone appointments are nearly always working illegally on tourist visas, so yes, different case to standard walk-ups. However, many walk-ups these days also have such "tourists" working, especially the young hot ones... As for what will happen to you if caught in the room with one of them, I don't know since I've never experienced it.

Probably nothing, you just might be called as witness.

But I doubt the police would walk in on you, I mean, I think it'd probably be easier to send someone in as undercover. The police can give evidence in court rather than to help that the punter will be cooperative in giving evidence.

Lol "hope" that the punter will give evidence in court....not "help"...

my cuz was in HK last month called up papa san on his hk pay as u go sim and arranged an girl, about 1 week later got an anon call, turns out it was the hk police asking if he visted an hg last week as they had records he'd called her number, he was smart and quickly pretended that he spoke no chinese and spoke in english only funny the police hung up quickly after

I'd like to know from senior members, what will happened if the police catch u before or after the act, maybe just as u are walking out from the hotel room of hg?

I think I already answered it...at most you will be called as witness...although in reality with these HGs the police only raid if they have enough evidence so you probably won't be needed, plus HGs will usually plead guilty so again, you won't be needed...

It is not illegal for you to punt...but it is illegal for them to work without a work permit...

Although if the HG is under 16 then you're in a bit of trouble...
