To those of us that used to go there, the policy change at San Diego to discontinue short-term room rents comes as a blow ... they only have the full day-rate now ... it used to be a more hotel-like alternative to the ubiquitous Villa Victoria and much more discreet than walking down the road in Wanchai or even Wellington St in Central! Question is, has any other place moved to fill the niche? Does anyone know another place that's as good, i.e. more like a hotel than the Villa-Victoria style places?   Any other "real" hotels to hourly if you ask them? Hear Ye!  The Mayor has spoken!

May be a good time to enter the market and establish a new foothold?   I was talking with a someone who was thinking about opening a new place, but nothing concrete. Hear Ye!  The Mayor has spoken!
