What kind of parlour are you referring to....?

If I were you, save the cash to spend in Asia for mongering. On a recent trip to London, I went to a gentlemen's club in the West End and left after 10 minutes as the talent was so bad

Be careful going to SOHO in London.  Me and my friend was literally robbed one time when we entered those clubs that offers very cheap show.  When we entered, we were given a menu for drinks and underneath it was a very small fine print that says once a girl sat with you and you didn't reject her right away, that means you have to pay her time/drinks.  Since the place was very dark and they intentionally print it at the very bottom with a fine print, we didn't notice that until much later when we were arguing the bill.

The show was lousy and extremely short (less than half an hour) and we were charged like $250.00 with only 1 beer each for me and my friend, simply because 1 girl sat to chat with us for like 5 minutes and left, leaving her small glass of drinks on our table (then later charged to us).  She was the model that perform in the middle, but barely stripped.

We were like 4 or 5 groups that were robbed that night.  3 or 4 guys surrounded us when we tried to argue with the bill, and ended up having to pay them since it was evident we'll get physically harmed if we don't.  Same thing with the other groups (they were huge Europeans - I guess the were Germans), they ended up paying as well.

So, better go to a more reputable clubs in place you are not familiar with.  I've learned my lesson.  If not, better have a local or someone who knows the nightlife there to accompany you or tip you where to go.

Go to china town and into a chinese supermarket and if the same as in Manchester/ liverpool they have the free chinese papers in stacks near the entrance. Pick one up and flick until you find ads with some hot chicks pics in which is the page advertising WGs and chinese parlours. Some will have English names of London areas (I'm pretty sure will state Soho as well) and give them a call........

The SoHo walk-down shakedown! I went to that part of town when I was 18 or 19. Maybe they took pity on me for my young age, but when I went into one of those they basically told me that this is a ripoff place, there's no sex show here, get out of here kid.

I've heard that the local police can be helpful in getting your money back. Luckily it never got that far for me.

Yes, strongly avoid these places.  They are a con and rely on a churn of tourists. The scam outlined above is literally their business model.

My only advice is if you get in this situation, get out of the bar anyway you can i.e. Don't argue the bill to much once you realise you are on the losing end of the deal.  Offer to go out to the ATM to get money.  They will probably send someone to escort you but once you are outside, you are safe and you can easily just walk away.  Of course if they keep a mate in the club that is a different story.

Alternatively, apologise and say you didn't realise and you only have XX amount on you and show them that is all you have in your wallet.  They may just take that and let you go. It would be cheap but you might get away with paying 20 quid for a ber rather than 100.

Getting your money back?  Very unlikely.  But backing you up if you are being 'escorted' to an ATM?  Absolutely.

Easier said than done.  When you're in that situation, you're surrounded by several hoodlums that will go to the extent of checking the content of your wallet, or get your watch, credit card, etc. in order to 'collect'.  You can only get away with it if you really don't have anything in your wallet, and didn't bring any valuables with you.

It's literally a hold-up.  We've noticed that the rest of the clients were also helpless and forced to pay up.

Funny thing was, we had a meeting with the commercial attache a day after, and we recounted what transpired.  Guess what he told us... he said even if we report that matter to police won't help us get back our money.  Because he himself had been victimized before!!! LOL. I kid you not.

The only consolation was, he treated us a few nights later for a good show.  I forgot the name of the club he brought us to.
