Walk-ups

I've read over quite a few threads on the subject, but I haven't really found the answer to this question:
Do you need to call a walk-up before going, or can you just go and browse the selection at any given building?
It would be nice to see the WG in person before buying.

Alright bro nastrum.... RICO knows where you are going with this question....I asked the exact same question on my last visit in March this year...

It's a bag of piss bro....No need to book an appointment...Just go to the address and knock on the door or ring bell...if the lassie in question is busy then there will be a sign or the light will be out....Or if nobody answers the door...  If you do not like the look of the lassie then be polite and smile then walk away....

Always a good idea to have a look on most of/all of the floors of the building for any that aren't listed in the DB.

Start at the top andwork your way down. I'll usually do this, for example at Champagne Court, even if I've set a few targets

Thanks for the replies. Sounds almost like a fishbowl arrangement, just not as convenient.

Additional question:
How do you know which doors have a WG behind them and which ones are just someone's flat, or some other business?
Posters? A red light?

WG doors will have a sign on it.
it's double-sided.
1 side = Welcome!
other side = Please come back later.

Only press the door bell of those with "Welcome"

Other indicator: Almost all NON-WG doors are behind CLOSED metal grilles.

Don't most of these girls also work by appointment?  So what's the best time for a walk up?

Most of the Walk up places Ive been to get busier later in the evening.
As for the walk up protocol. I tend to knock/ring, if I do not like what I see, I say no thanks and move on. Many of the locals dont even say anything just walk away (personally I think is rude, but could be a cultural thing.)

It is very easy, like shooting fish in a barrel, you cant miss.
