TST is such a small area all hotels are wthin walking distance

#7 Post at 28-9-2009 01:55  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L An agent did piss me off one time 2 months ago while I was trying to find a hotel.  I called him and he game me the name of the place in Cantonese.  I wasn't familiar with the name, even though I'm very well versed in all the 3 star and up hotel names and where they are located in TST.  I kept asking him for an address and he got pissed and told me to catch a taxi.  I wasn't about to take a taxi when I was probably within walking distance, so I hung up.  I thought that maybe this was some hole in the wall place so I didn't bother to follow up. Upon reading this thread, I did some research on this name today.  It turns out (I think) that this is the old Chinese name of the hotel matched up to the R Hotel, which is now has a different Chinese name and whose English name is now the I hotel.  Can someone confirm?

Had no idea where the fuck it was ... asked for the hotel name in English and it was funny listening to a women on the other end with a heavy mainland accent spell the Hotel name in English ...
