You will only find such packages available either at the China Hong Kong Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui or Shun Tak Ferry Centre in Sheung Wan. #9 Post at 13-9-2009 05:39  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L that seems a major inconvenience to me to have to backtrack all the way to Kowloon or HK island just to get a package, then go to Macau, if your original destination was Macau.  If you factor in the extra time (say two hours) and the cost to go from the airport to Kowloon/HK, are you saving anything?  To me, it would just make a lot more sense to take the ferry from the airport to Macau directly, go directly to say Darling, and pre-arrange your hotel stay.  What am I missing here? - I guess I've never used a package to Macau before.

Anyone know where to get "packages" locally in macau?  My guess (without 1st hand knowledge) is once you've arrived it's 'no' and you're considered a captive market! Hear Ye!  The Mayor has spoken!

There are no cost savings and you waste time travelling from HK to Macau which can be better spent in the saunas (if you're on a tight schedule like me, the extra 4 to 5 hours roundtrip journey translates to 1 more sauna to hit!). The ferry packages are just that: you get the ferry for free. The final cost is still the same, regardless of whether you buy it as part of the package in HK or locally in Macau.

You often get free stuff with the packages, besides the ferry tickets. The most common freebies are complementary massages or back-scrubbing (depending on sauna). And a more extreme example is East Spa: the walk-in price and package price is the same, at $15xx! But the package includes the ferry tickets AND massages. And obviously doing the package thing does waste additional time. I guess it comes down to how much you value your time.
