#1 Post at 18-1-2009 06:30  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Visiting HK for first time ... Will be in HK for the first time ever next month. Staying two nights at Holiday Inn Kowloon (Tsim Sha Tsui). I've been told one of the best places to "find" a WG is Hari's Bar in the hotel. Any advice on this? Do any of the "hotel appointment" WGs use that same hotel? Thanks!

#2 Post at 18-1-2009 09:00  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #1 drenas1985's post Bro, if you want to get ripped off and pay at least double for a bang then go to a bar.  It is an expereince.  If you want to bang a WG then use the DB to look at the walk ups avaialbe and the Hotel Reservation girls avaialbe closer to the time you are to arrive [they change regularly due to visas].  You can reach some good walk up places from the Holiday Inn and most HR girls operating from TST you will be able to reach by walking or easily by MTR.  Take the MTR to Jordan and go to K Pressure for a $500 fuck at a brothel!  Whatever you do, do your homework here by searching through the forum.  Have fun, play hard, play safe!

#5 Post at 18-1-2009 10:04  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #3 drenas1985's post Spot on, on boith counts.  You can pick a cheap pre-paid phone up at the airport on the concourse.  The prepaid usually lasts 6 months - which for me means 2 to 3 trips.  Local calls only cost HKD 0.12 per minute so don't overspend on the prepaid!

Does this mean visitors must carry their passports with them at all times? Isn't this kind of risky in the 141 buildings? Here is the states, a valid driver's license is the commonly used and accepted form of ID. Also, isn't carrying a lot of cash kind of risky?  How much cash does one carry on a 141 "bell-ringing" expedition?

#7 Post at 19-1-2009 08:03  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #6 drenas1985's post I think the ID you are referring to are not relative to visitors.  I only carry my drivers licence with me plus some stationery from the hotel I'm staying at.  I've never been requested to show ID and I have walked past Police on the way to 141 walk ups. Why would you carry a lot of cash.  I usually stow the majority of my cash [including credit cards] in the safe in my room and go mongering with only the money I figure I'm going to spend.  [also helps me budgeting as  icould spend it all at once otherwise!] When are you visiting HK?

#10 Post at 21-1-2009 00:02  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #7 wackojacko's post Technically, yes, even visitors are required to carry ID.  But the fact is HK wants to be tourist-friendly, so if you don'thave ID they assume you missed the signs at the airport.   How much cash to carry depends on you ... but no harm in leaving valuables in the safe and only carrying enough foras many Q as you expect to be able to muster ... plus a modest tip if you're in the mood ... Hong Kong's pretty safe ... I even risked irritating a triad buck the other day ... was in a bad (and stupid) mood ... not something I'd try in any other city in the World, developed or not.
