This is not a report. Its just a collection of my thoughts on how to find some success in Skout. I'm a newbie at this forum and hope to give back any knowledge as I found a lot of useful info about HK from my fellow pervs here in the past.

Here are 10 rules that have helped me (in no particular order). Some of them are self evident so apologies in advance :

1. Put a real photo with a face. I tend not to put up flashy photos (simple clothes, no obvious signs of wealth). It just saves time if the girl has any biases (e.g. Chinese girls might prefer only Chinese clients). I have found that flashier photos tend to attract higher quotes for service.

2. Cut to the chase. I just start the conversation with the mention of the word trade rather than Hi or some other half assed pickup line. It saves time both ways.

3. Get their phone contact (wechat / line / telegram / whatsapp) ASAP. You never know when a girl gets blocked from Skout.

4. Saturday and Sunday mornings are good times to hunt. A lot of new girls appear on Skout.

5. Don't believe anything. Age and photos are all faked. try to do a video chat with the girl before committing.

6. here are some signs that a girl is probably not looking to trade. Don't waste your time messaging them:
    - Lots of words in her profile
    - More than 5 photos
    - 'Looking for' relationship / dating (but not 'Fun')
    - Interested in 'Family'
    - Says stuff like 'simple girl'
    - Explicitly says 'no trade / SP / ONS / FWB' on her profile

7. If a girl you messaged has checked you out and not responded to your solicitation, block her fast (before she reports you and gets your account blocked). Ditto for any girl who hasn't responded at all for over 24 hours or says 'what do you mean by trade?'.

8. Market rates I have paid been 800-1000 for 2 hours. If meeting in outside hotel then add another 2-300 to that as total cost.

9. A special word to non Chinese/White punters (I'm neither). There is a definite bias against brown and black skin. You will be asked 'Where are you from' - almost immediately. Don't be frustrated. Be nice and they are usually nice back to you.

10. You WILL have your share of failures and bad experiences. Girls will not show up, or stop responding, or will be even uglier than the photos that you though were real. Its all part of the learning, embrace it

Thanks for the first 10 tips...I need more.

I am on the website and have photo (not mine but similar looking white dude) with an age of 45 listed, uploaded. When I search for friends, it seems the only filters I can put up are age range and male or female.  If I put age 18-30 I get dozens and dozens of girls.  I don’t really want to go through all of them since most just look like nice local HK girl. Not P4P women. I am not seeing any WeChat ID in names.  Do I have to look at each profile?

In my profile i put looking for fun and party, in the text box I wrote something like “Are there any sweet Pinoy or Indonesian ladies out there?”

What I want is DH or similar for some weekend fun.

What suggestions do you have?

There are no shortcuts I'm afraid. Skout doesn't have a 'good / naughty girl' filter You WILL need to browse profiles.

One thing I do to make my life easier is block as many 'good' girls as possible, so that the remaining girls are higher probability. Once you have blocked about 50-100 non trade girls, you'll start seeing better results. FYI I must have browsed close to 1000 profiles by now and blocked more than 500.

Also I dont read profiles. Sometimes you see wechat id's but most of my success comes with girls with absolutely nothing in their profiles.

You'll get the knack of it after you send about 50 messages and see which girls respond. No need to be articulate, just be direct about what you are looking for (code word 'trade' works well). If the girl doesn't respond within 24 hours, just block her.

Have you had any chance with local/chinese girls ? It seems the only girls on skout that are open to trade are maids, DH, or working filipina/ind, is that correct ?

That's a great question. Since I'm not Chinese and can't read or write any variant of the language, I have generally steered clear from this pool. There are several profiles that say HKers only or 852 - all local and non-trade and I block these immediately.

I have seen some suggestive Chinese profiles with line / wechat or telegram ids which tried my luck with. But communication has been almost impossible with translation apps and its unclear whether these profiles are real, scam or middlemen.  Also have been seeing far too much success with the Indo / filipino / viet girls directly. So I let it be for now. Figured plenty of Chinese action will be available in the walk-ups.

But if anyone has had success on Skout with Local or Chinese girls, I would love to hear their tips.

Is there a way to change your location on the app? I've been looking everywhere but the app itself is not intuitive

I have used a sister app of Skout called MeetMe. It includes all Skout Members too. It is possible to choose your location. i.e. if not in HK but heading there soon, you can still claim to be in HK and get contacts ahead of time. Both apps are ugly but efficient if you are patient. It got me introduced to a very sweet filipina DH who needed a bit of loving. It's one more alternative to use and probably best for the GF experience.

Reporting my experience. I used the app for about 10 days and was sending this message to any contact that looked doable: “Hey you are cute! Are you interested in chatting and maybe trading? If not, sorry to bother you,  please block me” I was trying to weed out all the non P4P girls so the players would begin to stand out more as suggested by Dedupe.

That worked for about 2 days, then suddenly today I find that I can neither login nor reset my password on my phone app or on the website. When I try to register again to set up a new account I find that my phone number is not acceptable. Seems I have been totally blackballed. Fortunately, I set up the account with a burned SIM card and I can just get another one.

I find the app really a pain in the ass to use. Even if you know someone’s user name you can’t search for them (as least I couldn’t find a way to do that). It requires hours of time to locate even a few possible DHs.

Would love to know a better method to connect with these Maids.

Sorry, but I can't remember as I have deleted both when not using them. They look and feel almost identical and neither are a pleasure to look at or use. But I did find them useful to make a few contacts and struck lucky in my case.

@Rayguy - I probably sent that message to 40 or 50 girls.  I don't know exactly how it happened but the blow back was big.  Seems not only did my Skout account get deleted or banned and my phone number blacklisted on Skout (couldn't use it to sign up again with a new user name) but the email address that I used to sign up was also reported and I have now been locked out of that for "abuse". Fortunately, I used a burner email address and I didn't get locked out of my primary email.  

So, I'm not sure maybe a fluke or maybe some chick got her panties in a knot and made a complaint to Skout who in turn reported my email to some central log of blacklisted email user accounts.  So, word to the wise: when registering for Skout consider using a cheap SIM card ($48 @ 7-11 for one month) and a disposable e-mail.

I don't really think my messages were offensive.  Some girls have said that they get messages from dozens of guys who's first message to them is "What Sex, Need Money?" or "Trade of sex?"   I'd guess that Skout has a very strong incentive to make sure the site does not become know as a prostitution platform.

For those who wonder if Skout is worth the fails,  I say most definitely.  Besides the great short time girls I've had,  I now have a regular I can see multiple times a week for free. Some of the best sex of my life. Have I had plenty of rejection, yes.  But the wins far outweigh them
And I would say treat the girls as girlfriends,  talk with them,  be their friend and you will be rewarded more than if you bang them once and move on.

Are there any white girls on SKOUT? Or is it all asians?

Overwhelming majority are Asian girls. You might have better luck on tinder.

The unthinkable happened. My Skout account got blocked and I couldn't log back in. Upon reflection I thought the more interesting question isn't why the account got blocked, but how did it survive NOT getting blocked for this long (given the amount of girls I have asked to trade). Then the answer was pretty obvious. Recently, I pushed my luck too far and started asking girls that I wouldn't have asked in the past. These would be girls that I described in my tip no. 6 on the original post. I was also not blocking the 'non-trade' girls fast enough. Once you block them then there's less of a chance for them to report you.

But never mind, I created the account with a burner email exactly for this eventuality and within 10 minutes I had a new account ready to go. Whats annoying was that I lost my original block list and I'll have to reblock a ton of 'non-trade' girls again.

That’s true as i did the same by using burning email.

My experience is if you looking for local HKer, not much there. You may build a friendship in slow progress. But for those maid, bigger chance to have trade.

I've recently started using skout and have had a few convos with some girls. I have not yet met up with any since the timing has not been great with my schedule. However, I have noticed that there are about three or four I have spoken with claiming to be free any time weekday or weekend, usually MK or SSP area but also willing to come to HK side. I'm a bit skeptical and even a little suspicious of this and I don't know if there is any reason to be. My assumption is most of the Asian girls are DH's with Sunday or a single weekday off so I'm not sure if these girls who claim to be free anytime, day or night are full time wg's or perhaps fakes or even part of an undercover thing looking for mongers who solicit online. I've been cautious, not asking any details of the pricing or services included, waiting instead for them to provide the info freely. Not sure if I'm just being overly paranoid over this.

Could be DH girls between jobs, staying at a hostel and looking to pick up some cash to tide them over before their next job. Some can get a bit desperate
