Punting in Turkey

I may be going to Turkey at the end of the month (yes, I said Vietnam for January and THAT didn't happen, so we'll see how this goes!).  Looking online I'm slightly confused, in part because of the passage of time.  If I look at modern information, it seems that WGs want €200 or more.  I see sites asking for $1000-1500TL.  I find other sources saying $40-100TL.  So bluntly, is mongering there dirt cheap or crazy expensive?  I think some information I see is dated, and I'm not sure if there have been substantial fluctuations with the Turkish Lira or not.  Sometimes you also have to wonder what currency a site uses.  I'm not sure what cities I'm talking about yet, but Istanbul is of course a certainty.

I do not have specific information about Turkey, but generally, when I punt in a foreign country, I intentionally do not go the "cheapest" route.  Higher chance of the whole experience being terrible, if not dangerous.  Either do LOTS of research, or hang out with an experienced local guy/wing man to help you out and keep you out of trouble.

Best of luck!  Post reviews if you end up punting there!

I would say for now it's less about the cheapest and more about trying to figure out the legit prices.  Even $100TL (and not the $40TL that I've seen sometimes) is like a bit over $13USD, and others are charging $1000-1500TL, and others €200+.  Cheapest or most expensive, something doesn't sound right.

I've done the "budget" punts a few times, and often (but not always) you DO get what you pay for there.  Pay a bit more and things change considerably.

Have you had any luck?
Pricing can be very confusing online given that the Lira is a quickly depreciating currency and prices are often adjusted quicker than reports are posted online. You might see 400 TRY as a price and think it’s dirt cheap b it the report might be 3 years old at which time this equaled more than USD 100 vs the ~40 it is nowadays. Foreign girls tend to hedge their price in USD/EUR quotes and apply the current exchange rate to their TRY price
