Yesterday there seemed to be a cleanup of the Chicken street in Shezhen (SheKou).
All bars raided/checked.p

Atleast two were closed by the Police and more given a warning and instruction to get a "Fire License" which I assume will be very difficult to get or expensive to drive away some of the bars.
This follows the earlier action to ban terraces on the nearby street.
I'm feeling they want to drive the bars (and some restaurants) to some new area perhaps SeaWorld?

Yes correct, around 3/4 bars were closed, including a western bar that has been around for a while.

Unlike previous raids & shutdowns, this came from Shekou police who told one owner it was to stamp out prostitution in the area. Previous raids have never came from Shekou police. Last week there was a really big stag party around this area and many local residents complained about the noise, so this might be the exact excuse police wanted to crackdown.

Banning terraces on the street is different, rumours claim this has came from China merchants putting pressure on the local government. They have not made a lot of money recently (or compared to what they expected). As they are the kings of Shekou, they put pressure on local government, who took the stupid course of removing terraces from many FOREIGN establishments! Which is stupid IMHO. Starbucks, western coffee shops, NOT CHINESE establishments all had their terraces removed, again.. FIRE SAFETY. A load of BS!

Choppers & Titty Twister from what I saw while walking by over the weekend.

The small restaurant next to Titty Twister seemed to have tape on the door, so probably this is the one.

Funny thing is, specially Choppers really doesn't seem like a correct target at all for this...

So was that Chills bar that got closed? The owner is not one of the good guys. A-hole of Shekou more like.

When it was stated a western bar was closed and terraces were an issue I was worried it may be FUBAR that got closed. I hope not.

This fat wanker and his wife tried to scam a friend of mine out of 7K a couple of months ago for a visa.

Surely not Choppers. Thats my favorite bar and definitly not a WG bar as far as knobbing the girls.

I was going past the famous Chicken street the other day and it seems that there are couple of bars open there...

One seems to have similar vibe as they used to have with purple lights and maybe even curtains.
How this can be?

They are beginning to come back. The SeaWorld bars are closing, too high rent, no customers, yada yada yada. Seems you have the mama, a sister maybe, and 4-5 girls rotating throughout the night.
