For hotels I’d book one near Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy. Nana Hotel is cheap but don’t expect anything fancy. If staying near SC I’ve stayed at the Tai Pan Hotel & Sukhumvit Suites which are a stones throw from Asok BTS & Sukhumvit MRT. There’s plenty of others to choose in the area

If flying into Suvarnanhumi Airport I’d consider getting the train as it’s usually quicker than the BKK traffic which is frankly horrendous.
