Quick airport transport question

For once I am staying on HK Island and NOT in Kowloon or the NT. I found a cracking hotel deal.

Problem is it is nearby Mosque street on HK Island.

How the hell do I get there?

My thoughts are get ripped off my airport express. Then travel up the escalators... is there a better way?

Thanks

1.) Take the Airport Express to Hong Kong MTR station. Exit up into IFC Mall and out at the One IFC entrance/exit. There's a footpath which heads south towards Central which crosses over Des Voeux Rd and towards Queens Rd. Once you hit Queens Rd you should be at the foot of the Midlevel Escalators.

I'll never take the bus from the airport into Hong Kong or vice versa again. It's just too damn slow and I'll gladly pay the premium for the Airport Express.

2.) Which hotel is it? I'll eventually need to start planning my Hong Kong trip as well. I did Airbnb last year in Mong Kok and didn't have a great experience with the host. I might go cheap/midrange this time and have been looking at the Ibis Sheung Wan and Ibis North Point.

Hi Freelancer,

I have stayed at the Ibis in Sheung Wan many times and it is great value for money. The best thing is reception is on the 4th or 5th floor so taking working girls to your room is easy as there is no walk of shame.

An added bonus is there is a Starbucks on the ground floor to nurse your hangover at.
