stupid questions to ask, but still asking...
i am of indian origin, but born and brought up in US. visiting Macau / HKG for business and want to have some fun on side.

been reading up a bit on the macau sauna's.. do they necessarily allow only Asian folks?  i dont  want to waste a trip to macau if disappointment is what i am going to face there

I am sure most of the sauna let everyone in.  All they see is the dollar signs.  Doesn't matter what race your are.

Pretty sure they allow all races, it's the dollars that count.....

Darling 1 is your best bet, staff is experienced with all races.  And a wider selection of girls that are trained very well. Other saunas such as east spa , boss sauna, emperor, the majority of customers are of East asian orgin. Hk the most. Girls will show visible signs of rejection towards a customer. Also service is not guaranteed. I'm se asian with han blood and I got mediocre service. If you decide to go with a non-darling Chinese girl put your expectations low.  I remember seeing an older British Indian businessman selecting the vip super model eastspa tall perfect sichuan girl ( 4500-5500hkd???) and the managers had to convince her to go.  

Here in this forum, some of us like to think china twenty years ago where a Chinese girl would do anything for cash. I feel this is not the case anymore.  It is no longer the buyers market. It's more unfortunately the sellers market. Where the local china man will shower girls with money to get her attention. I know a former sauna model now in here late forties get several thousand rmb from her fans almost daily. It's sickening since it's ruining the market.  before ten years ago, 500rmb got a crazy good sauna experience. Now it's only red light district performance but at sauna prices. Wtf.

If you are SE Asian (and of Han original) and you still got lousy service, then under what circumstances and to what type of client(s) would good service be expected? Don't tell me that the
saunas treat the white man better.

You would be surprised at how most Asians perceive the Ghost Man with disdain (this is what the term Gweilo stands for in Chinese).

It's a funny thing.

Generally there is no tipping in saunas, or Asia in general, so there is little incentive for workers to be nice.

Further, a bigger dick is actually an occupational hazard to most workers, so please don't think you're doing the worker a favor by having a big dick.

BUT yes, surprisingly, gweilos do get treated nicer.   White people generally are more
respectful and it's an natural human response for the workers to reciprocate.  Also, whites in Asia are statistically better educated and
wealthier.  A general rule of thumb is that countries export their best people.

Chinese girls are like most other girls regarding what they are normally attracted to. It's pretty much universal. Young, rich, and handsome. Doesn't matter of your asian or not. But to , imo, skin color does matter. Especially in asia. Asian tradition dictates skin color.  The lighter whiter the skin, the more attractive that person is. It's not the skin color that is attractive, but what the whiter skin color represents. Wealth, relaxation, comfortable living. Where else darker skin represents poor, laborious life, uncomfortable life.  To work in the sun was and have a dark skin color was representative of a poor peasant life.

So if a dark skin guy wants to hit it up with a stereotypical Chinese beauty , he better look wealthy ( to the eyes of Chinese)

Yes, I agree with some of your comments. Last year at FN in Macau, while I was getting a shoulder massage, the massage lady commented on how light the skin on my upper arm was. I just smiled back at her, without making any comment. But I thought to myself, WTK? What's this obsession with Asians yearning to have a lighter complexion?  I mean they sell all kinds of skin lightening lotions at inflated prices and all that shit. And then there is that constant reminder when walking the streets of HK, Japan, Macau, and probably in other Asian countries where the people are vain and looks-conscious like South Korea - the idea of using an umbrella on a dry day (whether sunny or cloudy).

So if a girl were to pick (money in the pocket notwithstanding), a light-skin northern Chinese with slitty single eye-lids versus a southern Chinese (say Cantonese), slightly shorter and slightly darker, but most likely better looking with double eye-lids, who is the more attractive candidate to get laid?

Hypothetical but realistic answer. Modern northeast men emulate korean pop stars. Modern south Chinese men emulate hk stars. Both normally have.....  White skin!  Slitty eyes are considered attractive just as well as double eyelids fyi. Some country side girls like darker skin guys. But most will also have darker skin themselves. The stereotypical Chinese beauty is the innocent white skin girl with stereotypical Chinese features such as big cheekbones, slanty eyes, no butt, no boobs. Which I'm guessing ia what foreigners look for. Unfortunately  9 times out of 10 that same girl will probably rather go with a guy with similar traits.
