Hourly hotels?

Hi brothers,

I was wondering if anyone has any up to date info on good hourly hotels. Kowloon area would be great.

Thank you

Kowloon Tong has nothing but hourly hotels. Get in a cab and they know where to take you.

Did you use search?

there are several good threads already, with excellent information

After benefitting from the information, you can update the thread(s) with any changes you may have noticed ...

Lots of good places in TST, and the truth is a large number of guest houses in Jordan / MK will happily give you a discount on their day rate for a couple of hours' stay ...

Hi Brothers,

I have had a search but most of the stuff is over a year old. Can you please point me to any relevant threads?

Thank you

Most of the stuff on hourly hotels that's a year old is still current, and reliable information.

Unlike the individual girls in hotels or walkups who come and go on almost a weekly basis, we don't see new hotels opening up, nor do we see old hotels closing ... it typically takes more than 10 years before a hotel is even refurbished let alone repurposed ... in 5 years I've only seen one hotel switch from hourly to daily, and it's not on the lists ...

So, go ahead, and act on the threads you've found ...

and please don't be lazy: if you feel it would be useful to share the historic threads you found in a single place, YOU cut and paste them in a post (either in this thread or in a new one) for others to find.  And if you find out new information through your field research, you now OWE it to the people who already shared information you found, to come back and report it.  I hope that's obvious ...

I'm not in HK much but I do share my experiences when I get home and have time to do write ups.

The lady will know of decent short time hotels - This solves your problem.

He didn't say - and we won't ask - but he may be planning to spend time with someone who isn't as well informed as the community here!

Of course if he's planning to engage a pro, she will no doubt guide him to a place she's comfortable with.

Even if the gent may go with a regular girl they sure know of short time hotels -  I estimate that a minimum of 50% of users of short time hotels in HK are regular local people.

I agree, and in my observation would say it's actually more

... small apartments ... big families crowded together ... lack of privacy at home or in public ... high cost of having your own place ... low salaries for young people ...

which all means hourly hotels provide a very important service to the community at large, not at all limited to the professional service sector.

Having said that a 'regular' local person may not wish to admit she knows any hotels or that she might have a favourite!!!  Local courting culture puts all the responsibility on the guy to find the nest.  Even pros appreciate a guy who is willing to step up and offer a comfortable next, semi-pros definitely do.
