hotel walk ins

Just a question regarding HG in HK.  I've always wanted to try it. but question is about the HOTELS, when they say hotel I keep picturing in my head it's those nice one when you walk in there will be a receptionist there to greet you and thought they won't let you in the elevator unless if you have a room?

Just want an idea how it works after the papasan give you the address..

Thanks

For HG's, I've been in all sorts of hotels from high end 5 star hotels to hotels that probably shouldn't be called hotels.

Regardless of what star hotel, the price for you, is the same.

Also agents will do what they can to avoid hotels that require key cards to go up... causes trouble for you and trouble for the girls... (although there are exceptions when rooms are low in supply)

A receptionist has never stopped me!
