When I was a kid, I used to think it was awesome, I don't know if it was the newness or what but there was a little thrill.  First time was at a Malaysian joint in NYC, after that, I never really found any except in HK.  I had girlfriends do it and practically introduced it into my college.  At first everyone found it very odd, but many warmed up to it (no pun intended).  Back then it was Altoid BJs that were hot but eventually people started to play with the Ice and Fire theme.
