Where is a good hotel to stay, where its easy to get some action.

I have been looking at the Rio, Waldo, Lisboa or MGM grand.

Suggestions please Bros, and if anyone knows how to get a great rate it will be very helpful.

Lisboa is close to eveything for sure, including the 24-hr famous Lisboa basement shopping area

I have used and trust these sites.

Whichever gives me the best deal at the time I book, I go for it.

Macau is really small, you could almost walk it from one end to the other, so no matter what hotel you pick, you're within 10 or 15 minutes of a punting location.

the China Travel Service website (ctshk.com) usually has good prices.

I have found a site www.pyotravel.com which has some great rates.

i stayed at the Rio Hotel last december and did not make an advance internet booking. it was kind of a spur
of the moment thing so i went to the shun tak centre and bought a 1 night package with one of the
travel agencies there. cost me 600+ HKD for 1 night, excluding ferry tickets and breakfast. you probably
will get a better rate from the websites like asiatravel etc.

quality-wise, i can't comment on how Rio will match up to the other Macau hotels as it was the only Macau
hotel i ever stayed at. but the room given to me was huge and comfortable enough for me. i think for 600HKD
it was quite alright.

for hotels in the mainland, brothers could give the following website a look. it has hotel listings for
all the 'major' cities for punters like us

it would be useful for non-mando/canto readers/speakers as it is one of the few websites specialising in
mainland hotels with a very good english version. particularly useful for first-timers wanting to visit the
mainland. not sure about the competitiveness of prices listed though, likely to be marginally more expensive
than booking through other sources i suppose.

I like the Rio, personal preference, very central to saunas and D1, good rooms, and only a lift ride away from inhouse sauna if you are too lazy to go out (Rio is relatively expensive).  

As other bros have mentioned, check out http://www.macau.com

They have a number of good deals depending on your budget. If you want something as a central point, Rio (mentioned by Froddo) is a good location. Price is okay too, roughly HK$600 odd per night but a little more expensive on peak nights (i.e. weekends).

If you really want dirt cheap, contact the China Travel Service. I've been told that they're running a special that includes ferry tickets and hotel stay for HK$300 odd (hotel in Taipia). Will see if I can find the link for it...

I'm also looking into Hotels for my Trip, I've been trying to find ones that have "in-room Massage"
That's always been an easy score for me in the past plus I am essentially lazy.

I've stayed in a few Bangkok Hotels that have Spa's in the building but i prefer the privacy of my own room even though I've never been disapointed.
A couple I have been looking at are the:
Kowloon Hotel
Cosmo
Empire

Any one had good/bad times at anyone of these
I've never been to Hong Kong before and don't want to get stuck in a Hotel miles away from the action

I recommend you put this in a separate thread.  This thread, though the title is vague, seems to be talking about Macau hotels and now you're asking about HK hotels.
