I am flying in pretty soon and just needed a bit of advice, I need to get to CWB and I'm a bit noob at this. I've done a search already, I normally land in HK and go from HK to DG and SZ quite easily but never really tried travelling out of GZ any advice would be great ! thanks in advanced!

#3 Post at 26-3-2013 09:24  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L There are shuttles at the airport, although I have never taken one, and it is a long drive.  Private car is better, but obviously more expensive. As virginboy said, I suggest taking the train.  At the airport go to the bottom floor and get on the subway.  You want to go to the GZ East train station at the end of subway line 1 (you will have to transfer to line 1).  Buy a ticket to SZ.  Walk accross the border, and then take the metro.

#4 Post at 26-3-2013 09:55  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #3 kaleu's post all good suggestions so far for completeness:   you can get a through-train from Guangzhou East, which takes you all the way into Hung Hom KCR station in Kowloon. You go through Chinese Immigration control in Guangzhou, and then pass Hong Kong immigration at Hung Hom.    This through train is a bit more comfortable, and much less hassle if you have luggage, than walking across the border at LoWu.   Then from Hung Hom KCR to your hotel, take a taxi.  MTR is possible but involves several changes plus a 5 minute walk - again, avoidable hassle unless you're trying to save every $.  Taxi from Hung Hom to CWB is probably around HK$70, and any time outside of the rush-hour will be very fast. Ticket one way = 200++ Every 30 to 45 mins. LAst bus 9pm or earlier (i took the noon bus) Duration: 3 to 4 hrs.  via Shenzhen Bay / Huanggang Exit 6 or 7 on the Arrival concourse. Just kinda behind the Gifford Hotel ...  I believe the range of flats is protected by 1000 private security guards and had only one incident a few years back when a guy murdered his wife cause she was having an affair... I bought the four bedroom flat then and it is run by some tycoon in HK who after this incident fired all 1000 security guys on the spot and rehired new.... LUCKY FOR SOME...Rich fukers....
