A pharmacy would probably be your best bet.

I am a little naive on these ED drugs. I always thought you need a prescription?

If you want the genuine article - yes. If you don't mind fakes that [usually] work just as well, you can buy them in the
pharmacies in Wan Chai and elsewhere. But you'll need to haggle the price or they'll try to overcharge. Do a search of
the forum - there have been lots of threads and posts about Viagra and the other ED drugs.

Well, if I am going to stick something into my body that somehow is going to give me a rock hard erection, I would rather go for the real stuff. You always hear about side effects in later life when it comes to stuff like this. Maybe not 10 years, maybe 20.

I did read the Viagra site and a few others, tells me not to go for the fake stuff   As they would.

Like Jake, I've never had a problem with the V I buy in bottles of 30 from a Wanchai pharmacy. However, rather than 'fake', I prefer to call what I purchase 'generic' V. Technically, since Viagra is Pfizer's patented brand name, the 'generic' V is fake, but the active ingredient sildenafil citrate is the same. All the internet V is generic; just as most aspirin is now a generic version of what once was a patented Bayer product. Of course, the problem of buying unauthorized generic versions of a medicine still under patent, is that real fakes containing something other than sildenafil citrate exist. Luckily sildenafil citrate is neither difficult nor expensive to produce, which limits the necessity of completely faking the active ingredient. The most likely worst case scenario is that the generic V contains no active ingredient whatsoever. I've never heard of anyone being poisoned.

Gotcha Bro. Did not mean they get poisoned, just the possible side effects in the future?

I mean medicine of any sorts takes years and years of research to produce due to all the testing needed. Sometimes symptoms only show up years later. Like those islands where they blew up atomic bombs. The people saw symptoms only years later from teh radiation. Companies dumping waste into water supply. Only years later, and again only in the kids do people see any problems. So time is the key.

I mean  the guys who sell Viagra are obviously a big company etc etc. So they are more likely to take care as they have a lot to loose. The guys who produce the generic stuff, maybe they don'tw worry about being sued?

Look, I am sure you guys have better knowledge on this stuff than I do. I was just wondering. Will take your word for it

The report I read of fake Viagra being manufactured in China said that when it was tested it was found to have 2 to 3
times the amount of the active ingredient - sildenafil, as genuine Viagra. As Mars says, sildenafil is very cheap. But it's also
a poison, so there are risks of an overdose causing harm. At my age, I'm not worried about long-term side effects but if I
was younger, I probably would be. If you wanna be really safe, just go to a doctor, take a few tests and get a prescription
for Viagra. Then you'll get the genuine stuff.

If you are really worried about an overdose, and I am not at all certain about the toxicity of sildenafil in a otherwise healthy guy, then take a 3rd or 4th of a tab. If that doesn't do the trick, increase the dosage until the little guy stands up and salutes.

Well, when it comes to drugs and stuff, that is always my thoughts, to get it legally and under supervision.

Power Walnut was discussed here in the forums as well. But in this case, it was some bizarre Chinese herbal concoction.

Huge quantities of generic V are being sold via the internet, and with all the heightened media attention concerning the occasional harm caused by a counterfeit medicine coming out of China, there would have been some news if there was any problem with the generic V. You can be certain that Pfizer would see that any bad news would be immediately splashed across all the world's news outlets. The fact that there has never been any negative publicity says a lot.

But yes, of course, in principle one should be very careful about what one ingests. I'd love to take the Pfizer product and have the assurance of the added quality control, but the hassle of having to see a doctor for a prescription, and the huge price differential between the genuine and the generic drug means that I walk on the wild side. As it is, I'm only taking 1/3 of a 100mg tab a week.

Drug prices are crazy. When in Italy, I had to pay 4 euros for a pack of twenty aspirin; so I had a friend visiting from the States bring me a bottle of 1000 tabs, bought in a pharmacy, that cost all of US$5.

How can you possibly know that it's real Cialis? Because it looks real or because the salesman tells you its real or just
because it works as good as the real thing? I don't think you can know unless you get it from Manning or Watsons
Chemists and I don't think they'd let you have ED drugs without a prescripton.

All of the above . I've been a customer there for a long time and compared both the packaging and the result . They will also sell you the knock-off stuff at a lower price . Agree that Watsons and Mannings are super strict , but local pharmacies not so . After all , if they're
selling the knock off without a prescription , why not the real thing . It then becomes a matter of who you trust .
