I generally try to stay away from the 141 buildings. I don't know what it is, a general sense of unease that I might run into someone I know, the possibility that ill get trapped in some sort of fire or that I'll run into the police - like I did today.
 
Anyway I went to the 11th floor at around 2pm today, after reading a report on here I'd previously tired Coco and though she was great (report to come) so though I'd go back. As I came out of the life I saw  a Chinese guy waiting for the lift looking pretty unhappy. Then I spotted a guy in a blue shirt. I thought it was one of the building attendants like the one you see downstairs at the entrance so just carried on out of the lift. As soon as the doors closed behind me I realised it was the police...oh dear!
 
They had two Chinese guys up against the wall - what's more they took a photo of one of the guys with a small digital camera. No idea what had happened but this was not not good at all.
 
I tried to walk the other way but was too late, they had seen me. The first police officer asked what I was doing there. I've absolutely no idea why I did this - but I just spoke to him in German, figured I'd play the dumb tourist. On reflection this could have backfired on me in a big way if things went any further, I should probably have just been honest and tyold them why I was there but I really didn't want this to go any further.
 
Anyway they police guy just looked at me puzzled. Then he said wait over there and pointed to the side of the hall. I took this as my opportunity and said over there and pointed to the wall near the lift and exit. He gestured for me to go to the hall, so without looking back I went to the hall but carried on straight through the fire exit door and ran like hell down the fire escape stairwell. Fortunately it brings you out on the road behind Nathan Road so I happily walked off and didnt look back.
 
Might have been nothing but though I'd give you guys the heads up. At the very least you can have a quick look around when you come out of the lift.

Whooah!  The police were helping the girls?  My guess is the triads were harassing the girls and the police intervened.  Asking more money for protection or the towel delivery service? But not sure how that works really.  

Yeah, don't speak a foreign language to the HK police.   I once tried to speak another language, and the officer knew that language, so it didn't work.

Don't worry ... you did nothing wrong and the cops can't do anything to you except ask you a few questions - their first question should be - what are you donig there - to which you should answer the truth - you're there looking for a girl !  at most they will ask you another 2-3 questions to throw you off ... but if they persist, tell them you want to talk to their commander and not them. Their commander will be more diplomatic !
What you must keep in mind is that you HAVE NOTHING AGAINST THE LAW so do not be frightened !!!

Running may be a bad idea in this situation. As Twice said, nothing illegal as it is a one on one relationship (having more than one girl would be illegal). Probably stressful though, was there last saturday and wouldnt have liked that experience either...

Yeah on reflection running might cause more problems. Probably not the best idea.

That said, having made my exit successfully I'm glad things worked out the way they did.

Running away from the police, is itself, a crime. Obstructing a police officer's job. So just man up and put on a poker face and deal with it.

Like they say, if you're gonna murder someone, you gotta be prepared to go to prison. Put that in this context.

sorry for my second comment on the same thread.  My first one was incomplete. Yes, running away could have ended up badly for you.  The cops could have been there looking for a white guy who'd stolen money from a girl or hit her, or something. And then you show up and run away....  Although from the description you gave, they were more after triads.

The police means you no harm unless you act suspicious.  One-woman brothels are completely legal if the girl is a HK resident.  I always see police cards tacked on the wall in the girls' rooms, numbers to call if they have trouble.

Good it worked out.  I would have been scared shitless.  Sounds like I should stick with hotels...

Exactly..no time to think. Just got myself out of there. Thank god they didn't come after me.

Typically, the police unit inside the venue should have a police van outside including a driver. So... it's detectives + patrol/drivers/backups waiting outside to drive you to the station, assuming they were there for a raid. If it was a raid, you're lucky the extra guys outside didn't chase ya. If it was more like a random search, you can expect that they don't have backup.
