After a few pints we split up. I was walking down Nathan Road near Chungking Mansion. After being verbally assaulted with offers of copy watches, tailors and hashish a WG or MMS approached (hard to tell). "Hi. How are you? Where are you staying?" "Hey!" I replied, "There," pointing at Chungking Mansion. She turned up her nose. ""Very cheap," she said, her jocular tone now gone. She walked away without another word or offer. Denied! I mean, come on, she wanted business and she wanted it by being out in the open and 'discreetly' signalling her service. If he herself was all that classy, she would not be on the streets. (Nothing against WGs but to call someone "cheap" seems to be a measuring scale in HK)

Maybe she thought you wouldnt agree to pay the stupid prices they ask for tourists (wg, tailors and fake watches same story in this area, all tourist traps) and so you werent worth it. I usually dont tell which hotel Imin... Anyway, given her reaction, am sure she would have sucked in bed (only money oriented and no talk), you were lucky in a way.

Still have very good memories of the place and go there for Indian food. It's not as dangerous as people say just ignore the people selling you stuff. Keep on Mongering

I am guessing the WG was looking for a nice posh hotel and "Chungking Mansion" wasnt exactly what she had in mind.... Just one of those days I guess.....
