anyone ever run into problems going into WG's apts?  Just asking because the pictures of the locations look like run-down places that could have some shady characters around.

A lot of the times there are even watchmen, I find it quite safe and rarely worry.

just treat the ladies w/ respect and everything is good.  the buildings are old so the rent is cheap...also use your common sense and everything is good...

The real problem for walk ups is ... the girls are more worried about the customer and the danger they might pose
rather then customer being at risk in an old building/area.

Girls have been killed but never heard of customers being killed !

Many of them are on busy streets ...

One WG shared with me that the building is watched all the time, and she has to phone in to her landlord immediately after a new customer leaves otherwise he sends in the cavalry.  

So yes, the physical risks are definitely higher than if you're shopping in Festival Walk or travelling on the MTR.  

But quite frankly I feel a lot safer in a walkup in Hong Kong than I do one of the darker public streets in San Francisco London or Sydney.

the only times I've been "robbed" is by way of crap service    The WGs have much more to worry about than us.

D'art is right when he says HK is a safe city. J'man you don't give your location but if you live in a major Western city you should feel much safer trawling HK's darker side than similar places at home.

how about for overnight hotel stays?

some of the hazards to the walkups:

1. places with lots of product on different floors and you have to go up and down the stairwell - dirty and smelly

2. using the stairs in the summer - very sweaty (I am a big hairy gwailo)

3. waiting for dodgy and slow moving lifts (and worrying I will get stuck in one).


and the biggest hazard to the walkup:

running into all you ugly mongerers doing the same thing!

seriously, there have never been any problems provided you are "law abiding" i.e., be nice to the girls, pay them properly (even if you think you are cheated by lousy service).

  I agree with the lifts....it must be mandatory for lifts in all walk ups to be the slowest ever manufactured.  If you take the stairs you end up in a lather after walking up numerous flights......

Surely the biggest risk is bumping into people you know, though if they're there for the same reason it wouldn't be a problem

I did have a very bad altercation with a 141 girl about a year ago.  It was one of the wanchai mansions, I think the one near the circle K.  Basically I knocked on the door of a lower floor and a moderately unattrctive, late 20's girl kind of sucked me into her room. She grabbed my hands and pulled them to her waist, and said  "OK?". I gave her a little grope and quickly decided that she was NMCOT.

I said no thanks and turned to leave.  She demanded 100$ for having touched her for 10seconds.  I said no way no way and tried to leave the room.  She blocked the door. I tried to get past without touching her or shoving her.  It turned into this nightmare of her pushing and shoving me and demanding money. With me reluctant to use any of my physical strength to get by her for fear that I would hurt her, but also me totally committed to not getting ripped off.  I sure wasn't going to get physical, no matter how many times she tried to keep me from leaving.  At one point I managed to get out of the room but she beat me to the steel door that divides the 3 or 4 small room from the main corridor of the building. She slammed the steel door and tossed the key away. It was a massive struggle with lots of screaming on her part that went on for like 15+ minutes.

So I threatened to call the police, figuring that I'd done nothing wrong and she would let me go if she thought cops were coming.  She said go ahead. Eventually I called, they came and helpedme get the fcuk out of there.  They took down my passport details and told me to stayaway.  

In 20 plus years of mongering, it was the single worst experience I have ever had.  Obviously, I should have just given into her scam and paid the $100, but I really didn't want her to feel that she could get away with it and cheat other poor bastards.  The best thing I did was to try to keep my calm and not get violent with her.

I have found that the 141 girls can be pretty aggressive, but usually in a better way: One of my first visits, (years ago before i knew avout this site) a girl open the door, grabbed my hand and pulled me in.  She was kinda cute. She looks slyly over her shoulder as she climbs on to the bed ass facing me, pulls off her dress, gets into doggy, reaches back and spreads her pussy with one hand and says "OK?"!  I was all over that like white on rice!

Man....sorry to hear that happened to you.  Just have no idea which ones are crazy.  I've had some crap experiences..but usually in China.  (i.e. KTV girl spitting on the carpet near the window..Plegh)  On the bright side you weren't hurt...I would rather be scammed out of 100hkd than kidnapped, beaten and forced to empty my bank  acct. as reported by another brother.

Punt in those buildings where there are many walk-in WGs, they usually situate on the same floor.  The WGs know each other and they keep alert for each other for common safety interest.  I had an experience that I spent more than the usual time with the girl and her neighbor WG called her to see if everythings fine.  Moreover they have CCTV watching both the corridors and stairs and door entrance.  It's relatively safe.

In the walk ups, there are a few things to keep in mind.

1) the girls are scared shitless of all punters they do not know as you might be "the one" that ends their miserable life.
2) The pimps / apartment owners want no carry on there at all to affect the traffic in and out; the girls know this. They want you safe to return and fill their coffers with loot
3) The cops do not care as long as the girls are legit. If they catch you in there (most of us experienced HK punters have had this) they check your ID, that of the girl, and if all is OK leave you to carry on.
4) The other people that live in their know they have a brothel in their building and if they see you and it is clear you are a whore monger, they will basically ignore you almost in the Japanese see right through you style.
5) Only thing to be careful of is the steps - they can be a night mare.
