Any action to be had at Dubai airport?

As per title, is there much action, mongering-wise, at Dubai airport, during a mid-flight stop-over to Hong Kong?

If not, how easy is it to leave the airport and return before the flight leaves? Or am I better off just waiting til I get to HK?

Couldn't find anything specific to the airport in search.

Any info appreciated!

Leaving airport

Leaving airport is easy assuming you do not need a visa. Similar to Singapore many people do a city visit. Most escorts are in the bars or massage place. You can do some in there hotel of choice, most with 30 minutes of airport at non rush hour. You must plan ahead, as you cannot access any of the web sites once in the country. Take down the agency you want to you or massage place to visit, so you can schedule or change when you land. Service cost much more than HK, but a good way to kill time.

No action to be had there. Most action is about a 10 minute taxi ride away. I would be careful near the airport as well as there are quite a bit of undercover agents that work around the airport area for safety of tourists. I know this because one of my friends is an undercover agent in Dubai. Remember if they catch you going to bed with a lady in Dubai that is not your wife you will have a problem.

I actually think there's very few airports anywhere that would have action available, especially so in Dubai, due the conservative nature of its society.

Keep in mind, depends what kind of stop over it is. If you have your luggage (ie, switching flights/carriers), well, you'd have to find somewhere to stash it, since you can't drag it along while you punt, but if its the same carrier, they'll automatically transfer your luggage, and you're free to go off for fun!

for all the punters transiting through there. Sounds good to me, just park your wife in the CX or SQ lounge and tell her you are going for a walk.

reminds me about 25 years ago I was backpacking through Europe (any of you young lads know what a Eurail pass was) and I was in transit at the Zürich train station for about 2 hours

. they had a movie theatre playing porno there

and I thought, what a brilliant idea! you can just pop in and out between trains and don't have to worry about seeing the beginning or ending of the movie or worrying about the plot because when you look at porno we all know what the plot is anyway.

You may want to check your flight ticket conditions. Many stop-overs do not allow you to get out of the airportduring the 2-6 hour stops. If you would like to get out the air ticket is different and significantly more expensive.

Any details on the Singapore airport action? I pass through there quite often but so far have managed only a lounge based thumb twiddle.

Save yourself a ton of cash and don't even think about spending money in Dubai. CRAZY expensive, but the Russian girls at the hotel bars are extremely hot. Honestly I have been to Dubai plenty of times and I always get my punting out of the way and just spend my Dubai time working out, drinking beer and visiting the majority white bars.

In a hotel close to the airport if it is still open. I knew some gals who used to hang out at the Premier Disco at the Hyatt that moved out there. This was a couple of years ago so the scene may have changed.
