I am not a native English speakers; but it seems that I couldnt find much information about Wanchai pub on tthe Chinese website; so I tried my luck here! I had a foreign friend visiting Hong Kong tomorrow and he would be interested to visit some pub with ladies serving drinks and sitting beside you to chitchat. I talkd with my local friend and he recommended one in Fenwich road, just between Dragon club and Superstar and its on the 2nd flloor. But my friend couldnt recall its name; he just mentioned there will be many pretties to drink with you and you may bring them out to hotel as the right $$$. Did you guys visit such place before? There are different pubs all around Wan Chai that are just as good as Laguna was. New Makati: It is on Lockhart Road close to Wan Chai mtr exit C - careful you do not miss it as it is only one single door that leads upstairs. Bro Petay!  I am shocked at you -- the place his friend referred him too is Insiders.  Exactly where his directions point to -- and indeed it does have a sorta "pub" type decor (though it is really a dance club). Anyway, in Petay's defense, he was right to steer you elsewhere.  Insiders is new and hasn't really caught on yet...  It can be dead when all other places nearbye are rocking. Makati, Escape, Neptune will all be full of gals by 11pm each nite (earlier at Makati - but no band there). Anyway, these are NOT pubs.  They are dance clubs.

There was one girl sat alone I joined her and it was fairly obvious she a drink comm girl only. Oh well if will probably pick up.

But I have not been to insiders yet so I do not know what it is like. Also let's not forget J Forest: IMHO one of the best bars around Wan Chai!! It is above Joe Banana's - I always have a great laugh with the staff there too. Every time I walk in one of them always calls me her husband ha ha Gigs - The Wanch is the best for gigs, get some quite fit girls in their too Also Amazonia is quite good. It was my first time!!!! and my foreign friends were surprised why I  didnt go to dance club before. So I try to explain to them that HK ppl prefer chinese girls or Asian girls (white skin) more. Anyway, we tried our luck at Neptune 2. And the damage was $180 for entry and one drinks And we went inside for our adventure; it was crowded but most of the ayoung pretties were already occupied. As we were newbies; we even did not manage to pick a girl and have a good "practice", Just spent around 1 hour and we left. Would there be any club with no / cheaper entry fee? As my friend told me that the one (before insiders) is no charging the entry fee. And the girls are great too!!!

More than a few times I have walked into a bar, looked around, saw that it was not a good scene, and turned around and walked back out. If someone asks, I will say "oh, I'm sorry but I'm looking for somebody.". Never has been a problem. Even when I come back later, they are cool. And I second the vote for j forest. When they are busy, it's great there. And the staff is really top notch. Very friendly andattentive, even on a really busy night. The Neptune or escape waitstaff is fast, efficient, and professional... But nowhere near as friendly.

#10 Post at 11-6-2012 21:47  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #8 yellowhite's post just for the record, entry fees are highly variable, they tend to be charged by the most popular places at peak hours and yes, those places can be so busy it's not worth going in in the first place if you're in the mood, it can be interesting to pay up and look around, but it basically means the place is already pretty busy and they're trying to control the numbers (and make sure the numbers pay!) alternatively, walk down the street and try another place ... when WanChai is so busy that they start charging, it means even the less popular places will be better attended it pays to shop around Hear Ye!  The Mayor has spoken!
