I'm quite new to the forum and I apologise in advance if I am making mistakes in forum posting.
I'll be in HK towards the end of December this year with a few mates and very keen to check out Neptune II and other freelance bars around Hong Kong. Would there be any bros out there are keen to show me around such bars and sharing some of their experiences when I'm over there?

All you need do  is just walk along Lockhart Rd and look in Escape and  Traffik also.  No real need if you have mates with you.

Sometimes I've picked up a wingman on the fly in the clubs.  It's kind of nice to have a posse with you to pace things better while you oogle the girls.

You'll have a lot of feminin mates the minute you walk the door!
My suggestion (but this is very personnal!)  is start slowly and mainly on Fenwick street. 1st, escape (looks like a normal bar) then walk to the Traffic (getting wilder, 1st floor of a building make sure you dont miss it) then go wild in Neptune 2! Before punting, go to the 3 bars (there are many others, but these are my favs!) unless you find a stunnin beauty you can resist, make sure you have.look at the different places!

I'd agree with this approach - even though things can get pretty wild in Escape, from my own experience!
One thing to watch out for - Neptunes' may try and charge you couple hundred bucks to get in, my advice is just to negotiate with them and just not go in if they insist on it. Escape and Traffic, plus the surrounding places like Joe Banana's should have enough talent

A problem with the apporach of not selecting too soon because ya want to check out the talent is losing the best gal of the nite and then "settling".  How many times, while bar-hopping, has this happened to you:

- you've been having a blast with an awesome chick.  Great looks and personality too.  Hot.
- but it's still early and you and/or your mates want to bounce somewhere else.  You say your goodbyes and split
- despite all your subsequent explorations you cant connect with another gal even remotely as hot and/or cool as the one you were with previously.
- the nite gets late, and in desperation you head back to where she was only to find she's gone or, even worse, fondling some other guy's package as he gropes her sexy ass.  Too late!  Arrrggggg!  Dammit!!

So, if I hit upon that gem of a gal early - but still want to check-out other bars I'll ask her to join me.  If she says no, cause she needs to "work", well -- I just got frickn lucky and saved myself from selecting a gal that is all-work-and-no-play.  If she says yes, perfect!  Ya got your sexy, hot, unrushed-girlfriend for the nite and can enjoy partying with her and grinding on the dancefloor till your ready to go.  A new "regular" perhaps.

This past July I went to Escape, the bouncer wouldn't let me in without paying cover.
When I knew this place as Fenwick's, I was never asked for cover.
Needless to say, I didn't go in.

First, what exactly is a "Priapus".  Sounds like a some kind of freaky Prius/platypus hybrid.  Haha.  Kidding.

Anyway, just curious, what ethnicity are you, Bro?  They seem to target some and not others with that cover charge.  Sucks.

Are the girls in these bars more Chinese or are there more girls from Thailand/Philippines/Indonesia? I've already been to Pattaya in Thailand and looking for some Chinese action

That's kinda weird bro, because I thought for VAST majority of people Escape doesn't charge
cover - whatever race you are.

But Neptunes are ones to charge Asian (CHinese or Indian/Pakistani etc), or non-White customers usually.
