I would like to find out whether you guys have a list of must have mobile apps for mongering?
For example, if i were in western countries, i would open up my browser and skate on to www.gentsnav.com, which uses your location to bring up a list of all adult entertainment. Used it in switzerland and australia.

Reason is that i am planning a 2 week sojourn in guangdong in december, probably spotty internet, so perhaps there is an offline map of all establishments?

A Mobile App? A map of all establishments in Guangdong? The whole province?

Errr... I hope you realize that mongering is still a totally illegal activity in China!

Errr... methinks you're perhaps a bit too ambitious/optimistic about your upcoming trip if you're thinking its so easy to monger in China!!

Well since itunes apps aren't controlled by the government of China, there nothing preventing the publishing of such apps? And since the information that is out there is on this and other websites, and the Chinese Government surely knows of 141's existance,it must just be an open acceptance with a show of crackdowns sometimes.

But it doesn't actually have to be a listing of locations etc. Just an offline map, a dictionary of phrases to use (I can speak in Mandarin, so it's not too bad for me, but I havea Thai phrase book in my iPad when I go to Phuket), etc.

I, myself never leave home without my iPad, and it's allowed me to really be always connected when I travel in different countries (just by a microsim for that country with a data plan and I am all set). I think China censors 141, so I won't be able to type any reports on the fly during my trip. Maybe I will keep a dairy and I can upload it all in one shot!

Err.... I really do think you do NOT have a true  picture of what its all about in china.

Yes, prostitution is quite rampant - but one thing for sure - the Powers That Be there definitely do NOT want China to be known as a sex destination like LOS, PI etc. On top of that, since 99-1/2% of the "action" in China is by AND for the locals, except for a very few sites like this or ISG, there really is no demand/supply for such English based information flow.

And if this is the first time you go to China - even if you do speak Mandarin, let me suggest to you that you are probably going to have quite a hard time mongering on your own/suggest you should at least go with a more China experienced wing man. I don't really think that ANY IPhone application + Translation function is going to do you much good - especially if you're going to Guangdong province i/o major cities like Beijing or Shanghai. Do you also READ Chinese? If so, you'd probably be better off scouring the Chinese language websites.

And whilst this site WAS previously blocked by the Great Chinese Firewall, such blockage has for the past year or so been removed and thus this forum is now available without having to go through a VPN/proxy. So you can report away even when there!

It's for Android though not iOS, so it won't work on my iPad. I have an Android phone, so I can get it. Unfortuantely like SEAJ mentioned, nothing for the China...

That being said, this might be useful if you have an Android phone and want to check your area for the nearest mongering spot in HK.

Saw this the other day when browsing the chinese forum. It looks promising wonder if there us an english version too

I want to get an android now just because of the 141 app even though I am not in HK. Am I that crazy lol. I really hope they make one for iphone though. Bro, to answer your question you can just use your web browser to search sometimes it's more efficient and certainly gives you more options.
