I've found the agents' english to be pretty unreliable at best. You might get one good english speaker for every 5 bad ones. This shouldn't put you off of trying the Hotel Girls. The solution is to text for your appointment request. Even agents that can't speak english can read it, or have someone sitting next to them that can read it. The texting works great!
And, of course, the walk-ups are a great way to ease into the hobby as marcopo said. Just don't be shocked by the shoddy, post-apocolyptic buildings you'll find them in. And also don't be shy about shopping around on the floors above and below, don't take the first girl who opens here door.
