After reading pandaboy report about getting caught. I am starting to think what to do for myself. I have a large amount of photo and video of  the GF Also all my pics from punting in the east. Going back soon not sure how to have all of my collection with out the SO knowing, lockbox will not work for me. My SO back in Canada is a IT tech, so is really good with a computer.

How about getting some online storage?  Upload everything there.  

I'm assuming that all those big jpg and video files would be too large for anything really simple like a stick or little flash drive.

there are many free file encryption software downloads available.  Or you can use something stronger like File Encryption XP, which has a pretty strong algorithm.  A lot of the memory sticks already has encryption built in.

That should guard against pretty much all intrusions short of the Department of Defense or similar agency trying to break in, which they did with that one pedophile dude from Canada with the swirl face a couple of years ago.

Just don't pull an Edison and have your PC serviced by someone

encyption doesn't work well, if ur SO is an IT tech, i believe she will be able to decypt it if she wants to. better have it stored in a thumbdrive and physically kept away from her.

Yeah but if his SO is a techie she's going to notice the encrypted file and then ask the obvious question, no?

I was Thinking  about thumb drive, What if she finds it before  i have a chance to hide it. File Encryption will not work in my case. I have my photo and video burn on  disk at the moment, so pulling a Edison Chan is not going to happen.

Taken this from another thread, you could try this. If questioned, mention that it is your company's price quotations or accounting info.

You can always sign up another email account and email all your pics there if you don't have many big files.

I am a sub contractor and she does all the paper works and accounting. And will ask to see any thing do with the company for tax purpose

i do have a secret email ( which i think we all do here .....hehe ) i try that already, some of the file is just to larger to email also i am not too good with a computer. I try to compress it to but so how it didn't work. what about the video

Try online.  It's much easier to transfer your files, no compression needed (although with big pic files it's best to be using a cable/gigabit ethernet than wifi).  Try something like: http://www.adrive.com/  She can't find your stuff if there's no thumb drive and she can't find it if she doesn't even know where to look for it online.  Just make sure and wipe your tracks/history after every session.

well, how about hiding the folders after you've encrypted it?  With DOS you can use the attrib commands to hide folders.  Then that wouldn't arouse any suspicion. Unless of course the SO deletes all the files in the directory and can't figure out why 10G is still missing

This software is pretty cool. I just tried it out.
It even hides the locked folder so you cannot see it. so no one even knows you have an encrypted folder!

Right, and for even more secrecy you can put the link to the program somewhere difficult to find or rename it
(or delete it completely and just run the program directly from it's installation directory) so that no one else
even knows the software is installed. I have been using it for 6 months and haven't had any issues with it.

Anything that's physically in your home is going to be a risk.  Thumbdrive can be found.  Hidden folders can be found.  Locked folders can be found and cracked.  

Downside of online storage is it's on someone else's server - may want to keep a backup somewhere.
Upside is plausible deniability: you have access from wherever you want, but if it's ever found you don't know how to access it.  

Does it include pics of yourself?  If not, it's just another repository of online porno.  You could just as well upload it to picasa or somewhere like that and keep it in a private account.

Just remember to always clean out your temp file after you view your online storage!

If anyone is concerned about US Customs, all the Feds care about is kiddie porn and terrorism. But if you want to be safe, here are some things you can do:

1) Install an app like Hide Folders that will make invisible, and require a password to again make visible, any folder. Sure a computer forensics guy won't have any problem finding the folder, but how likely is it that your computer is going to be confiscated for inspection?

2) Place the porn folder in an out of the way place like the plug-ins sub folder of some program in the C drive's Programs Files folder. You colud also WinRAR the folder and then change the file type to .dll before placing it in the program folder. (Changing the file type of any file will change it's icon.)

3) WinRAR the folder, use TrueCrypt, a free uncrackable utility to encrypt the file, then change the file type to .dll and place it in some program folder. Note that not even the government can crack TrueCrypt encrypted files.

4) WinRAR the file, encrypt it using TrueCrypt, then upload it to some online storage site, or if it's small enough, email it to yourself.

(BTW, if Customs finds the TrueCrypt encrypted file, it is not illegal to have forgotten the password.)

Thank you bro. I think that this is the best advice by far. She is too tricky and since she is a IT TECH just everything that much harder and i have to stay few steps a head of here. I will try storing soon and post my a update of my result so other bro can learn from it.

I am not worried about the fed's on this.I can't have any evidence on my laptop cause the SO is a IT TECH, there is a chance of her noticing it. Online is the best way for me, i have to research about it and it has to to private don't want anyone seeing it.

And make sure you have a damn good excuse prepared should the material ever be found!!!
