Here's what I'd do:-

Open a gmail account
Activate google calendar
Sync outlook with google calendar http://www.google.com/support/ca ... en&answer=89955
- google has a full and official Microsoft Exchange Server interface implemented, so it's squeaky clean
Check the details were copied over OK
Set up the new computer
Sync google calendar back to your new Outlook.

Actually that's a lie: I wouldn't do that last step.   I stopped using Outlook entirely and only ever use Google now.  LOTS of benefits and functions (happy to make a list if you like).

OK ... there's another more direct way too ... you can simply export any part of your Outlook data to a .pst file.  Make one for your calendar, another for your contacts, heck you can make one for your inbox and mail folders too ...

Then you can simply copy the files import the .pst files into the new Outlook.

... but I'd still set up google cal !!

I usually just export my calender, contacts, tasks, and emails to a CSV (Windows). Save that file on a USB thumb drive then go to my new computer, stick the thumb drive in then export the file from there. You should have all your info if you've done it correctly.

Annoying thing is you have to export the files one by one (meaning calender is one file, contact is one file, etc...).

Sure does - I'd be utterly lost without it

Can you see a little drop-down box somewhere, that allows you to change the display language?

Either that or, if you use gmail, try logging into that first then opening the calendar.  In gmail the link to calendar is at the top left.
