Despite having been to Osaka several times, I had never chanced upon Tobita Shinchi. I had only learnt about the place, ironically enough, from a Japanese female friend. I had a metro day pass that day and decided to make a trip just to have a look at the place.

I’d arrive close to their closing time, there’re a number of shops where the seat of the girl was empty, and there were more tourists than customers (many with their girlfriends) by this time.

The area is split into different lanes, hosting girls of different genres. I spent my time walking through all of the lanes and alleys, making sure to pay due attention to the ladies. The ladies on the youth street were naturally more attractive in a traditional sense - the older ladies tend to have a theme going on, which is their selling point I guess. In fact, many of the girls on the youth street were extremely attractive they look like they belong on tv.

A tip I was given was to look out for what the girls were wearing, as much of what you see could be push up bras and other tricks. You can tell if you’d be welcome if the elder lady sitting on the side gestures you forward enthusiastically, often in various languages to suggest they’re ok with foreigners, or you specifically.

I spent much time narrowing down to my choice in the youth street. I wanted a girl who was not only beautiful to me, I wanted to pick a girl whose clothes hide no tricks of the trade. I picked one wearing a grey, sleeveless turtleneck, the holes of the sleeves were big enough you can tell her breasts are the real deal even from the street. Secondly, I wanted a girl who showed interest in me, the girls mostly let the elder woman outside do the talking, I didn’t feel she had as much say regarding who to serve, so her interaction with me, limited as it is, was important to me. Notably, many of the elder women were shouting “last, last”, as it was late. This turned out to be red flag I didn’t notice, more on this later.

The elder woman took out a laminated sheet, detailing the price and a list of rules. Upon agreeing, the girl took me up by hand, as a tray of sweets and hot tea was served. The girl, again so beautiful and her skin perfect, chatted with me briefly, before asking me to undress as she did the same. Her body was as close to perfect as I imagined, great slim body with substantial breasts, it seemed like a great night about to unfold.

Service started with a quick CBJ, nothing special, bit anticlimactic if you’d ask me. She rushed into a missionary position quickly, and did her best to make me finish. She helped clean up with some wet wipes, and that was it really. It was pretty no-frills, like taking a budget flight at twice the full board price. Most notably, there was no shower, and I don’t get the impression girls shower between customers, would love to be proven wrong. There’s a public shower facility on the street if you’d like, not far from the police station.

I think the girls are just looking forward to end the day, and I could very well be their tenth customer of the day. For this price, wouldn’t say it was bang for buck. If anything, come for the novelty, nothing else. Because you really don’t get much.

It was in Japanese but it was quite easy to understand. It had numerical numbers for minutes and price with the currency symbol.

She had a number of sheets, I believe each one is in a different language, but I got shown a piece in Japanese.

Starting from April 2024, some shops have an English menu for foreigners, but the new price included a gaijin tax of 5k Yen.

the gals definietely shower between customers, usually after you leave. Each of these little houses have a bathroom/shower - its just not for the customer.

also if you dont want to yelled at/haggled as you are leaving the area, make sure you take a candy (usually a lolli) from them and eat it while you walk out of the area, its a sign that you've ajust sessioned!

its really a roll of the dice, sometimes you have to chose the slightly less popular girls because they def try harder if they dont have alot of customers for the day!
