Shiya   found me through Facebook, friended me, spoke casually, and we got connected in wechat.
I was just curious as to how she found me, was a mutual contact as well.
Anyhow, she says that she's doing part-time at my university, etc..etc.
It's usual that an alumni contacts with new peers..
One day she suddenly says that she's gonna quit college as she no longer has financial support.
She texted saying she's doing a part-time job and later said she's doing other "Stuff" for money.
I quickly ask her if she's like a part-time F*** B***DY and she responds "YES". (I thought it was a joke)
She said she charges 800 2hrs and 1300 overnight.
And finally she says that she wants to meet me.
I found out that today was her birthday and I decided to meet her at her place in SSP (Sham Shui Po)
Being skeptical, I decided that (She may actually be a pro) So I would meet her in Wanchai, to which she quickly said ok.
So, she seemed kind of OKAY (Thought it wasn't a scam) and I can get laid with an amazing girl. (By her appearance in wechat moments)

This is where, the thought of scam beings..!!
I told her to come to a certain place, which she refused and said that she'd meet me elsewhere and I said ok.
I went to Lockhart Road and texted her that I've reached.
She says to go to 7/11 and take pic so that she knows I'm there.
Also, she says she's on her way in a car.
I go to 7/11 buy some gum and take a pic to share with her.
Now, she asks me to buy "some card with 3000 points."

I'VE READ THIS SOMEWHERE...
I act cool and say that I need to get money from the mtr and ask her to send her photo in the car.
Astonishing.. she sends a pic of her in the car..
Anyways, I say "Wow, I just got a message from my friend and this is a HOAX!"
Her final reply, was something I didn't expect and she blocked me.

I forgot to mention ya'll that, I don't speak/understand Chinese so all this while I was using Google Translate to text her.

I came across this on the news today. Seems like lots of people are getting scammed. That’s an awful lot of money involved. Be careful out there.

Yes. I Had a few WeChat and Whatsapp ID that sounds suspicious. all from Facebook

May be someone should create a list here.

What I know that in common are:

1. all from facebook
2. young pretty faces
3. stating that they are here on free-lance / part-time
4. all claim they need money in a short term
5. all have the same quotes: body type and quotes: Body 166 weight 46 32c 27 33 full service service has simple massage breasts , milk love love mouth burst blowjob 69 type tongue kiss wash fragrance does not play more p anal SM
6. 500 hour 800 two hours twice , 1500 pack night unlimited


What arouse me initially is that .. I asked them to take a photo of their room and bed, the cover of today's magazine, or the surrounding of the door, or a picture of their bathroom ... none can do that

and the final blow to their credibility is that one girl has wechat, whatsapp, and Line contacts - but the same girl gave me 3 different address  in different apps - plus one app has 2 addresses on different days.

Like you said, all these addresses have a seven-11 downstairs - now i realise we are dealing with the same girl pictures.

HKers have trouble finding even ONE place to live, but this girl has $$$ to rent 3 different rooms and can travel all at the same time. If she were not a HKer then renting 3 places at the same time only means it is a crime syndicate and non-of us want to be a part of it.

Either way it is a no go.

(the words were written in Chinese but that's what you get when you google them up. - besides it is easier to hide which girls i am talking about - they all pretty good with chinese and english and wrote in "traditional fonts" for answering standard questions and "simplified fonts" for out-of the bound questions. This is the second clue.

Following the thread, I was also subjected to a very similar scam.

I did not fall for it but still wasted several hours talking to the girl and going to the place to take the picture of the door as they all "afraid of cops".

1. Browsing Tinder
2. Find a very cute girl with obvious Sex behind the scene
3. adds her WeChat through her description on Tinder
4. Start talking and discuss, price/service etc.

5. As I am by nature a skeptical person I ask more pictures of her to prove she is not a scam to which she complies grudgingly like a normal person who would not be happy to be thought a scammer (good psychology trick here), I start to let my guard down ( i am new to HK.. )
6. Go to somewhere in Mong Kok, take a picture of the place to let her know I am there, and then she asks me to buy and send her the code of some card in a convenience store nearby "to reassure her I am not a cop".

7. at this point I am like WTF is this how it is in HK? So i start being impatient to which she says "I feel sorry for you to come all the way here, please send me the code and I will open up the door for you.."
8. So now psychology plays hard on me. I have the "Sunk cost fallacy" playing against me as I also feel sorry for myself to have come all the way here in a crowded jungle of week-end in Mong Kok, so my mind still considers to buy the card even though the second she said that I knew it was a scam.

9. I tell her"去死 (qu si = "go die")" and that i will report her WeChat account for scam and delete her.


Becareful out there bros, I know it is hard, but control your emotions, your brain should rule your body and not the opposite!

Yes, I have been talking to these two girls also.
It is not just the problem with the $3000 if she is a high quality girl.
It is the problem with the disappointments that no one can have passionate session with that target girl. That's frustrating.

There are no girls on the other end to begin with. You guys are chatting up other guys. It’s guys running bot farms and multiple fake accounts chatting up and scamming guys. The photos you receive all come from libraries of random girls they have saved for every scenario they can think of.

Why would a real girl reach out to hundreds of random guys a day? She wouldn’t. No one would except for scammers who were hidden behind VPNs and fake accounts.

What makes you so important that a random girl would want to meet you sight unseen? She wouldn’t. Would you tell your female friends or family to do this?

How does a gaming card or any gift card prove to any “girl” that you’re serious about meeting?

I don’t know how these scams aren’t obvious to everyone.

Tough talk here. If you were scammed then you deserved it. These scams have been around for many years. They’re reported here every few months. Or even just common sense would tell you that these are scams. There are so many red flags that come up that even if you miss the first bad sign of things, the next bad sign appears shortly after and again another one after that.

On the positive side, it’s good to hear that some of you immediately walked away once realizing the scam. Unlike some other guys who continue to chat with the guys still thinking that there’s a girl on the other side. There’s never a girl on the other side and only fools would think there is.

Like the saying goes, a fool and his money are soon parted.

What you say it is entirely true and my reply is intended more on the form rather than the content of what you said.


Writing soberly in front a computer rather than being out-there sweating in the street are quite two distinct situations. Though, however different the variables between the two events are, you words are harsh and they should be to make people realize their mistakes.


Because it is a very human thing to refuse to admit that you are wrong.


I think this is the hardest to admit: yourself and pride refuse to recognize that after so many red flags, you still ended up buying the card or sending the money.

The real stake here is in accepting your error, and not repeating it : whether it to be on mongering or active life.

Now I am being very borderline with the whole thread but in a nutshell and as I have hinted in my above post, it is actually a well-known and written of Economic problem not just affecting us punters but also multinational CEO's and all stakeholders out-there.

Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman speaks about it in "Thinking fast and slow " (2011) , to which I undoubtedly advise you guys to take a look at.

Quite similar to your experience and its good that the mainstream media is bringing people's attention to this - as well as legal enforcement doing something about it!

Another thing to do if it's convenient, do a google image search for their photos, usually turns up some instagram model or posted on some other forum previously.

It's a volume business so they just cast a wide net, if even 5% of guys fall for it, it's still money, so they won't put too much effort running through the internet looking for pictures.

Good point, my usual checklist is:

1) Google phone number with and without country code
2) Google image search
3) Picture of her next to a napkin with a name written on it

The picture next to something written is the most important, and you can't use the date because, just like the car, they could have a set of canned photos to use (in case they paid some girl for a bunch of pics). Most pro girls have gone through this before and it shouldn't be a problem.

I guess a lot of times, the adrenaline is pumping when you are on the way to a punt... you are excited to meet the (hopefully) pretty lady, and rational thinking goes out of the window.

This isn't restricted to just HK.  Happens all over, it's definitely in NYC.  In my earlier days, I too, was hopeful.  Actually went to the address once, luckily it wasn't too far.  The real giveaway is when they say they won't accept cash.  No real working girl would turn down cold, hard, cash.

To add to my point of ways to check if scam, anyone asking to be paid in points cards or cash cards should be automatic end of conversation.

It's sketchy as hell and you can't see face to face, cash is best though there is a risk of getting jumped, luckily it's rare in HK.

OMFG you have no idea how many accounts on Tinder have the same damn girl.

Like one mentioned above, always do a Google image search and your questions will be immediately answered.

If nothing shows up, make her take the most random ass picture, like hold up three fingers with one in your nose and I’ll go there right away. Lol.

That usually does the trick.

This might provoke a long debate, but that's not the point I wish to make.

Out of the 12 possible contacts (i mean both fakes and real) from Facebook, only two of them have equivalent google image. Even those with "unique" / proprietor photo, none of them actually wish to sell her services. Sorry, all fake. Bad luck.

In fact if we look for copied photos as the fake images of the service provider, there are prevalent numbers of those actual service providers on 141 web who would use the on-line photos of models or lingere advertisements (to keep their privacy / to hide the defects of their bodies) - although now one of the websites is cracking down on the use of fake photos.

online Photo systems screen out some fake service providers who use photos of other models. With cheaper camera and more educated photo enthusiasts it is not hard to take professional-like photos of actual non-service providing models (weekend hobbyists as models).

One ultimate test, although controversial, is asking them to selfie two of the following elements and whatsapp / wechat to me: the three things I have in mind so far are 1. picture of the girl (with background in the hotel room waiting), 2. the front page of an up-to-date HK / local newspaper (to prove that photo is up-to-date) and where available, 3. pick up for a used condom to prove actual provision of services. I guess that would work
