First time going to Richmoore Hotel. Previous reports elsewhere have made it sound like an absolutely crazy place that many people don't actually like because of how trashy it is.

I found the place ok. The entrance is in the middle of a small tunnel going through the building. You can see the tunnel in the building looking northeast from Jalan Pudu. The escalators don't work.

You walk up to the second floor via the escalators and the entire dimly lit floor is filled with people. Men are sitting around on white plastic chairs and women are standing along the walls like wallflowers. I would definitely come back. Honestly I feel that being Chinese means I look like I fit in among the other people. I can see being extremely uncomfortable if I were white though, haha. There were absolutely zero Europeans there. The griminess of the place is standard fare from my experience for working-class neighborhoods in Asian countries. I can imagine worse.
