In HK back in pre-COVID days, I stayed overnight with a Venezuelan and a Russian for 2000 HKD each in two separate occasions. In Bangkok, I almost pushed through where the admin offered me a "limited time" 6500 baht. Similar pricing of $200 USD in their relative timelines. I'd say I got really lucky with the HK pricing way back when.
