Performance questions as a really old monger
I’m 75 and still happily active (I posted in Bay Area my recent memorable 75th birthday session). The question I have is one thing I have noticed in the last three years or so. While I am lucky and can still pretty much spring an erection any time the circumstance makes the need for one apparent, I have lost the ability to really have an explosive orgasm. I used to, up through my late 60’s, be able to shoot 2 feet, 3 feet, or when I was really inspired, over my partner’s head. Now, a one foot pop is a spectacular success, and usually what used to be a gush is now just a trickle. The volume is way down as well as the force. While my orgasms still feel good, I really miss the real explosions that left me (and my partners) weak kneed. I am not on any meds at all, weigh what I did at 18, have the same blood pressure I did then, and through exercise and diet, have maintained muscle tone (I don’t sag anywhere yet or have a belly). The question is, particularly for fellow old guys, has this also been your experience? Have you found ways (or meds) that have restored some of your lost kick? My MD, when asked, pretty much said “the fact you’re still operational is great: don’t mess up the mechanism by trying to be what you can’t naturally be!”
I’ve never used Viagra or is variants; my understanding is that it helps with erection (not my problem) but not power of orgasm. Am I right about that?
One side note I’ve noticed in my 70’s is that the length of a satisfying session of intercourse before I ejaculate has increased since the orgasmic urgency has decreased. I am able regularly to enjoy an extra 15 to 20 minutes more than I used to with my erect penis being sucked or in a partner’s vagina, just enjoying the pleasurable sensation in my balls before I can no longer hold back and need to pop. Maybe I should just be thankful for what I have?
Thanks in advance for your advice or commiseration! Any comparatives would be helpful, and may be helpful for those of us born when radio was king, television was black and white, and MLB had 16 teams. | |
