	Better method to convert/resize images - Use Photos App instead of Paint Better method to convert/resize photos - Use Photos App instead of Paint. I now use the Photos App (instead of Paint) to convert any image format to JPEG and resize them below the 500kb size limit.  The result is a much higher resolution image with a smaller file size. Windows 10: Photos app: Open the image, right-click, and select Resize. Then, choose a size option, like a preset size or custom dimensions. Finally, click Save resized copy and rename the image if desired. Windows 11: Photos app: Open the image in the Photos app, click the three dots in the top-right corner, and select Resize. A pop-up will appear with preset sizes to choose from. You can also right-click an image in File Explorer, select Photos from Open with, click the three dots, and select Resize.
