Xenophobic WG's
I am a foreign expat who has resided in HK for the last several years. Anyways I have punted in HK quite frequently in the past going through the numerous 141's in the city. Anytime I have encountered Thais, Filipinas, Cambodians, South American, Russian WG's I have had absolutely no problem getting service but for some reason when the WG's are from Mainland China its always a hit or miss. Some have absolutely no problem but others can be vehemently opposed. And I find this behavior puzzling. I really cannot understand why WG's from pretty much all other countries in the world make no big deal about the race of their customers, but it is somehow a big issue just for Mainland Chinese WG's. It can't be due to language as Thais don't speak good English either. Or lack of exposure to foriegners as I am sure a Loatian WG has even much less exposure to outsiders than a Chinese. Nor can it be racial thing as Hong Kong and Taiwanese girls don't seem to bother about race differences. Perhaps someone can share some insights as to why WG's from China seemingly demonstrate to be skittish and afraid with non-Chinese patrons? Perhaps one can make the argument that WG's from other countries know that they will be servicing patrons from outside their
countries by visiting HK. But even in their own homelands they dont demonstrate xenophobia.
Its just frustrating going to door-to-door and makes me want to avoid all the doors with Chinese characters. And to make things worse I can even speak some Chinese and the
reaction does not change much!

Thai, Russian, etc, will know they have communication issues with any client, including Chinese... |
