I haven't tried the Facebook angle, but Tinder gave me a lot of similar results as OP. There is a lot of free pussy to be found on dating apps in PH, and if you want a specific type of lady for a decent price, a little courtship goes a long way.
This might be limited to the cities I went to, but I found a good amount of success by taking public transit. I didn't see anyone do any kind of pickup in the trains. I was able to get an insta-date every day I tried on the train, and developed a decent roster over the last few months.
@FUsummoner have I just been lucky, or is this kind of thing not something done by locals? I read a lot about mall pickup, but I've found a lot of really good looking ones who are waiting in line for the train
