First impressions, saw the big neon banner with the Gold Coast Spa logo. It is in the same building as some 3-star hotel. You enter the lobby area and there is a lift on the side which you take to the 2nd floor to
reach the spa. Opposite this location is a street with restaurants and a singing bar, quite a lively area actually.
The attendant asks for your name as usual, go into the locker room area where male attendants give you towel and collect your clothes into the locker. Wristband issued.
The wet area here is quite large, with a big pool in the centre that is not that hot (I like very hot soaks) and a very small circular pool on the side which is very hot. I spend a substantial amount of time here
soaking (as I always do). I usually do a routine of 3 soaks with water breaks in between. This is healthy as it makes you sweat a lot and elevate your heart rate. I grab a shower after.
Exit wet area, you reach a grand staircase going up. Directly opposite is the entrance for the women's wet area. This is a family friendly spa where there are male and female customers, so it will appear veggie at
first glance.
Went up the grand staircase and reached the lounge area which is REALLY big. I approached a female manager in black suit and immediately requested for a VIP room and a double leg massage. She leads me to
one of the lounge seats, and turns on the monitor screen for me. Now this is quite high-tech and cool. Basically, you get a screen selection with the different girls you can choose for the various massages. It felt
like those character select screens in video games  so you just select on this screen the girl you want, and wait.
Asked for tea, chilled there a bit as I was still drained from my hot soak routine. After 15 minutes the girl arrived, much older looking than the photo (might be photoshop involved, as standard for these places) but
not ugly or unpresentable. I told her I wanted a private room. She said ok and I followed her down the passageways (wow, this place is BIG!) and I saw some ping pong tables on the way there. Went down flight
of stairs to a floor below and into the VIP room.
Now - the VIP room just has a single massage chair and it even has a squarish window that people outside can peer inside. Double leg massage proceeds and ends with a HE (hj). She was playful and chatty
throughout, and adapted to what I liked/disliked. No complains here. Now, to get this service you have to book a VIP room (+charge), and get a 3x service fee charge for the double leg massage (+charge) and of course, tip the girl separately. She asked me for CNY500 but I only had CNY400 cash on hand, so she said ok + CNY100 tip on the official receipt.
Went back to lounge area, ordered my dinner (food here costs extra, not included) and left satisfied.
