Walk-ups are very safe and reliable... and more convenient since some of the photos here are photo-shopped. You can always walk to the next door if the girl isn't to your liking face-to-face. Hotel appointments are tougher to "cancel" since the girl had to make time and travel to your place. Often they will make a stink until they get some sort of compensation, or so I have read.
One note to keep in mind... I have noticed a pattern that the most attractive girls seem to get lower scores for service. In fact, I'd venture to say that up to half of the reports that feature true stunners also feature stories of disappointment... and yet they had to pay extra, because of her knee-weakening good looks! Me, I'm a pragmatist... If I can have 3 quite cute girls for the same price as an absolute stunner... I'm going for the gang! And often, the merely-aboveaverage-looking ones are the ones who are better at making you happy... because they have to be, to compete for business with the stunners!
Both hotel appointments and door-knocking are quite safe... but it never hurts to keep your most valuable valuables in mind (especially passport, credit cards, wrapping your manhood, etc). I've never heard of a robbery happening, but that doesn't mean it never will. These girls are pretty darn sincere about pay-for-play. They want money, you want fun, and in HK the marketplace is very well-established and reliable. No pleasantries necessary, no need/time/desire/linguistic ability to try to play a confidence scam, so no need to worry about such things. You both get what you want and move on. Woo-hoo!
