Rainbow has been my go-to place for years, and you are right that it has stayed the same. It doesn't feel really old, but it certainly doesn't seem new either. The only change that I can think of is that a few years ago the average age of the massage girls went up a few years, but the overall service also improved. So it's reliably good, and I can only think of one or two times in the last few years that it has been disappointing.
Compared to Oriental Spa, a stone's throw away, Rainbow seems in a different age. I guess if Rainbow were to open a new shop, it would look like Oriental Spa. It feels quite fancy, and the masseurs are younger and all good looking. I've only been a few times - partly because the pricing is a little confusing, and also because it seems that FS is not on offer.
But both these saunas feel a bit of a dying breed. I wouldn't be surprised if Rainbow just shut down one day (though it always seems fairly busy). And I doubt that we will see another joint like Oriental opening anytime soon. | |
