A natural part of the ageing process I agree with you. But as you are aware, when we are younger, all our levels are at their peak and as we age, our levels decline over time. We can either sit down and accept it, or we can end up spending tens of thousands of dollars checking our testosterone and other hormone levels and getting medicated. This will be by blood and saliva tests. Some of the tests will be sent to the US for processing as HK does not have the facilities to test these.
You'll have to check thyroid levels as well as they affect our sex hormones and our libido and erection. In HK, if you are low on thyroid 99% of doctors will prescribe T4 which is a storage hormone. The hope is that the T4 will, in your liver convert to T3 which is the active hormone. But, if the T4 is too much, it will convert to reverse T3 which stops the T3 from entering the cells. Most docs in HK do not test for reverse T3 and one needs a clinic like IMI or other anti aging clinics to perform this test which, yes, needs to be sent to the US for testing.
So if you find yourself in Bangkok you can consider testing at Bumrungrad hospital for your hormone levels and seek their advice, and of course avail of the plentiful BJ's and massages available to deal with our stress. You can get it done in HK, but it will cost a lot more. I am close to 64, have problems in the same department as you. Recently its been quite bad and I saw a bottle of DHEA in the house (I was diagnosed as low in this years back) and started taking a 25mg pill every day. Its helped a bit, can feel a difference even after one week of taking it. Research, research, research. | |
