We went through a patch when she did eventually get pregnant and she opted to have the baby First off; very brave to come out like that with a story like this. Kudo's.
But to be clear, so there *is* a baby out there, in Thailand, fromwhich 50% is made out of your DNA? And you're okay with this? You don't think that one day, you might regret, not being part of the life of your own son or daughter? Alternatively, the babies (and mothers) grow old. The baby might start wondering who his/her father is and might look you up. The mother's priorities shift in the future. The minds of mothers change. She might contact you in the future and ask for help, or more.
At that point you might (if you don't already) have another family. And at that point, your current family/wife, might not be too happy about: 1. you having another child somewhere, you did not take care of ... 2. you financially/emotionally helping another woman/child, that's not part of the family ...
Maybe it would be insightful if you share more about your feelings/thoughts about this .. because I wouldn't be able to tell now whether your story is promoting BB or warning against it. I mean; I wouldn't have accepted a "don't worry about it" as an answer to "are you on birth control". Why did you?
Not criticizing or judging; just might be more good what your thoughts are about this. |
