Japanese-style massage places in Phrom Pong
Thanks. As of May 2020 all massage shops in Bangkok, and indeed the entire nation, are closed. Social distancing is the norm at any facilities currently open (now: malls, restaurants, coffee shops...things somewhat more normal in BKK). No one has any idea how to socially distance a massage, so it's anyone's guess as to when places like this will reopen.
A quick guide: the shophouse massage places are near Phrom Pong BTS Station. The ones with even-numbered streets (26, 24/1) are close to each other--this is where you'll find PSE-centric places like Snow White. When open, SW and many places featured staff on the heavyset side. If that's what you like, well, there it was.
The ones around Soi 33 and on the odd-numbered side are pricier. Doki Doki, Dozo and Mitu are all Japanese words. You can expect better rooms, flashier service, and higher prices. When they reopen, which they hopefully will.
