We all expect things will return to the same point before the pandemic started. Chances are we will never get back to that point. Chances are this virus will forever change the way we interact with strangers. Like, how long will it take for people to ditch their face masks? How long does it take before we are comfortable enough to press our faces on a pillow used by dozens of guys before us? As customers disappear, do you think the WGs will just sit it out and wait for things to return to normal? Almost every WG I know are currently considering new plans, be it getting married or going back to school or starting another line of business.
Also, why do we think COVID19 is the last great pandemic in our lifetime? Recently I've rewatched "Demolition man", a crappy Sylvester Stallone sci-fi film in the 90s that is scarily accurate in its prediction of things to come. In one scene (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jae38H1_j-E), a pre-famous Sandra Bullock said: "After AIDS, there was NRS, after NRS, there was UBT. One of the first things Dr. Cocteau was able to do was outlaw and behaviorally engineer all fluid transfer out of socially acceptable behavior." After SARS, we had H5N1, Swine flu, Zika, then COVID19. The next one will almost certainly cause overcautious preempted lockdowns. And then there is antimicrobial resistance. At some point, we will decide it's no longer a good idea to "exchange fluid" with anyone.
I can't remember where I read this, "during coronavirus, the safest sex partner is yourself". I am worried that traditional prostitution will gradually be replaced by technology, like sex toys with VR and AR. | |
